Oni V Myers. Who's better?

So, these are two of my favorite killers. Myers is my favorite slasher, and Oni (in my opinion) is by far the coolest looking killer in this game, and they're similar in some aspects. They're both 'power up' killers, with having pretty bad early games since they don't really have access to their power. I'm curious to see who people think is better. Again, in my opinion, Oni is probably better. His early game is way better because he isn't reduced to 105%. It may take him longer to get his power, in some instances, but I feel when it is activated he has such a higher amount of presence. Blood Fury feels like a better version of Tier 3. Instadown, plus insane map pressure to rival even pre-rework Billy. Sure, his power can run out extremely fast compared to Michael, but once you get people injured and get blood on the map it becomes so much easier to get his power.

Then again, in an actual chase, I feel like Myers is better (unless Oni has Top Knot). His lunge is easier to control, his footsteps are much quieter (as far as I know), he vaults windows faster. And if we're talking add-ons, Myers is far better. If Oni had an infinite Blood Fury ultra rare, I feel like he might be complained about a lot more, and Jumpscare Myers is probably one of my favorite builds in the game. Honestly, I wish they'd touch Myers and give him some buffs.

I hope this didn't come across as biased, even though I know it probably did. I know there are a lot of Michael mains on this forum, so I hope I didn't ruffle anybody's feathers too bad. Hell, I used to be a Myers main. How would you change Michael in specific, add-on wise or power wise to be better? I feel like aside from a few Add-Ons, Oni is one of the most balanced killers in the game.

IMO Oni is better just because I like his story. I already know Myers' story and although I appreciate they put effort into him to me he's just kinda boring to play. Oni has a lot of cool mechanics but I think you're right in that Myers has a better chase.

I don't main either of them (I main Spirit) but I just like Oni better overall.

Michael is definitely fun to play, at least for me, but Oni goes fast and sometimes that's all I could ever need.

It depends on the cosmetic. Play with Meyers wearing a hospital gown and you will easily kill me. Those legs are hard to resist.

Otherwise, from my Survivor point of view, Oni is usually more effective, unless it is indoors, then Meyers with wallhacks is better.

Tier one does suck big pp. I'd miss Jumpscare Myers, but if tier 1 was gone I'd probably play him way more.

Now all we need is shirtless Myers. also keeping him pantsless. this is the true killer buff we need.

Maybe they can modify mirror to make you undetectable and slow you down.

    EZ fix

I don’t want to make a Myers mains sad but, IMO Oni is a whole mile better than Myers.

Myers early game is so rough, which can cost the game and the Tier 3 isn’t enough.

Oni is just better for the average player.

As someone who plays both extensively, against good Survivors, Oni takes the cake any day of the weak. His kit is just far superior. Saddens me a bit since im a huge Halloween fan, but it is what it is.

Oni almost completely invalidates Michael's existence.

    Oni:

    1. Gets his power faster.

    2. Does not slow down at the start of the game.

    3. Can dash and flick around corners.

    4. Has better snowball.

    5. Does not have to 99 his power.

    6. Has better add-ons (scalped topknot, lions fang)

    What does Michael have?

    1. Stealth in tier 1, but still slow.

    2. 20 seconds more of his power

Myers has 15 seconds more if Oni doesn´t dash or down people, regarding duration Myers wins.

    Undoubtedly Oni.

Oni has to M1 to get his power, and Myers doesn't, but what you have to think about is that Myers, in order to get a down at all, has to M1 lol. With Oni having a Dash, massive lunge, and unlimited instances of his power, the debate is just about settled there.

Myers is just a poor little M1 killer. Oni's 200% movement speed dash is far more powerful in a chase than holding W with 115% speed and a slightly increased lunge. Yeah Myer's duration is longer, but Oni gets FAR more use out of his power in 45 seconds than Myers can in 60 or 90.

    Oni without a doubt.

    Imo Oni hands down.

Tbh i find Myers to be one of the weakest killers in the game. Hell i would probably put him below Clown.

Fun to play ofcourse with a ton of variable playstyles. But overall just so slow

    Oni all day every day

Myers: Completely sacrifices the early game and has to give up on attacking people to build up his power. Power can take ages to build up and once activated gives insta downs, a slight lunge increase and a slight vault speed increase

Oni: Has to attack survivors and be relentless just to get his power up, power becomes usable more and more later into the game as more blood accumulates, once power is activated oni can instadown, move at incredible speeds, down multiple survivors at once, instantly destroy pallets, has an extremely increased lunge distance.

It's not even much of a competition

Oni is better in literally every way. He doesn't have T1, he has insane snowball potential, you can use his power in many, many tiles without the bro- I mean, fair and okay top knot, his Demon Strike is better, he has amazing mobility, he has insane snowball potential, he has no power use limitations except that no blood is dropped during his fury and only 100 orbs can exist on the map, and did I mention he has insane snowball potential?

Myers... Has none of that. He has to crawl out of T1, his extra lunge is barely worth mentioning, his extra vault speed is barely worth mentioning, he can only stalk the same survivor for a certain amount of time...

Unless you're talking about the purely subjective realm of cosmetics or lore, Oni is what Myers wanted to be when he found that Shatner mask.

oni is literally the buffed version of myers, when he has his power he is a snowball machine and wrecks through almost any loop in the game, where with myers you basically just have to catch them in deadzones and you will almost never catch good players at loops

Agreed with Oni being better in every way. I main Myers because I've been a huge Halloween fan since I was a kid.

With that in mind Myers needs a significant buff. I hope it comes soon. Do we have any confirmed developer comments of upcoming killer changes?
