What's up with the pairing system?

Member Posts: 156

Uuuuuuh, New guy here. Currently rank 16 Killer, highest I've ever been is 14 by pure chance. I miss playing with other potatoes, my matches have been bombarded with so many red and purple ranks the color green is starting to become soothing and if it weren't for my own abysmal ranking I'd have forgotten what signifies a low ranker. :p I don't want to sound whiny, but I am genuinely curious as to whether I'm doing something terribly right or if the matchmaking is just this bonkers. This screenie is the most diverse match I've had in a while and I'm still reeling over the pounding I got. XD

Welcome to dbd, where bugs are more common than some killers and toxicity is almost as consistent as the bad matchmaking.

Also from the looks of things that looks like a smurf squad but i can't be too sure, where they have one low ranker and the others are high rank to get easy wins against noobs

The matchmaking in this game is broken. But there is hope. You play as a green rank killer only vs red ranked swf a lot, but once you hit red rank yourself, you mostly get green rank solo survivors, at least thats what happen to me.

Thats why both sides always complain how broken the other side is.

Oof. Ah well, sounds like there's a light at the end of the tunnel, just got to power through and put in the time and effort to make it happen. :) Thank you guys, good luck out there.

This has happened to me and I have sent in complaints. You just have to accept this game has one of the worst matchmaking system of an online game. They say it will get better, but I've been told, they have been saying that for 4 years
