Okay I'm new to this site and I haven't been playing dbd for too long. But is anyone else confused by the abbreviations everyone uses like bbq, farming, tunneling. If someone could explain those and anymore you know that'd be great!!! <3

    A lot of perks are abbreviated or turned into acronyms here on the forums for ease of typing.

    BBQ = BBQ and Chilli, a Leatherface perk.

    Another example is instead of typing Save The Best For Last, it’s more common to see it referred to as STBFL.

    Farming = more focused on earning points rather than playing fair, or properly. Farming can sometimes be survivors and killer working together to each earn as much points as possible. Farming can sometimes mean a survivor being a complete jerk doing an unhook in the killers face just for the unhook points.

    Tunnelling is something a killer can sometimes do. It’s short for “Tunnel Vision”, where a killer focuses solely on one survivor and ignores all others until that particular survivor is dead.

    The dbd community almost has its own language by now, lmfao.

    Crack Billy, bbq and Billy, Bubbas basement, scratched mirror Myers, vault master Myers.

    BBQ means the perk barbecue and chili, which is a perk that gives you tons of bloodpoints and allows you to see survivors outside of a certain radius for a few seconds.

    Farming is basically unhooking a survivor right in front of the killer, only for them to be downed instantly.

    Tunneling is a hard one. Basically, it's trying to get one person out of the game as fast as possible.

    So you want the terms explained?

    BBQ = Barbeque and Chili (Bubba Perk, where killer can see survivors far away after he hooked someone, also gives 2x Bloodpoints if you hooked all survivors in the trial at least once.)

    Farming (with the killer) = Teaming with the Killer to max out points of the current trial. Usually Killer doesn't kill anyone and helps the survivors get points by hitting them, letting them heal, and so on. Some people like it, although good players find this boring.

    Farming (off a teammate) = Unhooking a teammate (without Borrowed Time Perk) right in front of the killer, getting the unhooked person instantly downed again.

    Tunneling = Killer unnecessarily going for the guy who has just been unhooked, instead of the guy who saved. Destroys fun of survivors and is generally unfun for experienced killers. Usually good killers don't do this. (By the way, it's not tunneling if the just unhooked person is trying to take hits for the unhooker.)

    Camping= Killer not leaving the hooked survivor or the area around it

    SB= Sprint Burst

    DH= Dead Hard

    Looping= running around the same area with the killer behind you

    DS= Decisive Strike

    I get confused too. My brain just has a hard time when words become letters. Sometimes I know instantly...but most of the time Ill struggle to remember..

    WGLF (Well, Good Luck, Friend) I read that as that so many times....I have to think and think until it comes to me. But of course it, We're Gonna Live Forever.

    I make a secret 1 post boyfriend out of anyone who ever spell perk names out in their entirety. It's rare but I'm over the moon for it...
