Thought on the Salty Lips Offering?

My apologies if this has been discussed before but I was just looking up the exact math for Virgo's Jar of Salty Lips. The extra 3% chance to escape from the hook just doesn't really make it seem worthy of being a rare addon in my own personable opinion. When you factor in deliverance being a perk readily available that many survivors use, I find Virgo's jar a bit wasteful of an addon. I understand that it does stack but even if every survivor decided to use it a maximum chance of 15% on unhook without the help of Ace's perks seems so disappointing. Does anybody else share this opinion or have any other insight to excuse the measly luck it actually provides?

Bringing Up the Ante is like bringing three salty lips.

And most people think Up The Ante is trash.

I had no idea you could run that quite so well, I feel like that would be fun to try with a squad. I know as someone who plays killer fairly often I'd be mighty impressed to watch every survivor kobe off the hook time after time. Although I think my phantasm traps would be pretty counterintuitive to their attempts. LOL.

Don't apologize for a repeat discussion. There's literally hundreds of "Ruin undying OP" out there. You'll be fine :)

It costs too much bps for nothing. My thoughts.

It's a joke, just like every single other luck offering or luck perk.

Luck ONLY affects self unhooking. Not even chests. Just use deliverance if you want to unhook yourself

Unless you use it on a premade full focused on that like Notstarboard (which is rather memetic anyway, you are dedicating 2 perks for a Deliverance-like effect) they are usually a waste since Luck only affects Kobe and trapper trap escape chance.

Is that actually true? I always thought so, but then I started second guessing myself when I was thinking about Ace's perks. He has that goofy luck based perk and I started wondering if it was supposed to go hand in hand with his chest searching perk in order to give better chances of getting a cooler item with nicer add ons.

It's interesting to see so many people in the community agree that this offering is a bit useless without the help of other perks. I know a lot survivor and killer mains don't often agree but as somebody who plays about 70/30 respectively I feel like maybe a SLIGHT buff or rework could be fun. If it affected chests I feel like more people would use it, almost replacing the better chances of plunder's without having to waste a perk slot.

Yep, is true Luck only affects Kobe chances and Trapper's trap release chances.

Luck overall should be changed, not buffed but changed so Killers can benefit/hurt by it too, I remember a post I made sometime ago about this subject I suggested Luck could affect any of this parameters: number of skillechecks, unhook chances, position of doors, speed of skillchecks (fast skillchecks are positioned on the right of the circle, slow ones on the left), stuff on chests, number of pallets, safety of tiles, position of gens and a bit more I cant recall.

Killers would have bad luck offerings which would change all those parameters to benefit them (faster skillcheck, more closely positioned doors, more skillchecks, less safe tiles etc) and Survivors would have good luck offerings which would benefit them, said offerings wouldnt be gamebreaking of course, for example a gen has 8% chance of triggering a skillcheck, with max luck it could be 5% or 6% with max unluck it could be 10% or 12%. Perks which depend on skillchecks like Autodidact or Overcharge wouldnt be affected by luck.

I actually really love this idea. The whole point of the game is that killers and survivors should be able to check and balance one another and incorporating luck into more aspects of the game would be a really interesting way to change the game.
