Survivor queue times
Since the Rift closed my survivor queues have shot up a massive amount and I was wondering if anyone else was having similar experiences?
Im EU PS4 with crossplay on.
Usually survivor is a bit longer and can take a minute or 2 longer at busier times of the day, but later at night I would get games extremely quickly while killer queues are still instant at any time of the day or night for me.
Im wondering if it is due to people not playing killer as much now the Rift has closed and they aren’t trying to get challenges done?

People taking break from playing after burn out from grinding to complete the rift. I noticed people I used to see only streaming DBD are even taking break right now between rifts and playing other games until the next rift starts.

Its not overly surprising that no one wants to play killer unless they'd have to right now.
Lets be honest: the rift is probably keeping the killer playerbase up higher then it should naturally be when the rift is active.

I´m on Steam in EU, Survivor qeue times are many times longer than Killer apart from the mornings in my experience. Crossplay on.

US pc with cross play enabled. Killer times are basically instant and survivor times are 10 or so mins. I solo que everytime don't know if that matters.

I don't think it's because of the rift though. Streamers don't care about the rift since they play enough to get the rewards regardless and probably finished the rift weeks ago.
I genuinely think players are simply burned out and the reality of the game has gotten to many people along with the fact that it probably won't much different months from now.

I wish the rift wasn't a thing..it makes me play more than I normally would have cause I don't want to miss out on stuff...

People that believe it is because of the Rift or burn-out should realize that these aspects affect both the players playing survivor or killer and doesn't explain why a 4 survivors to 1 killer ratio isn't being met.
Ask yourself, why aren't you playing killer? There're actually benefits to doing so:
- Quicker queue times
- On average better blood points gained
Yet we are lacking killers in the queue while you technically only need 1 for each 4 survivor players... why would that be?

Because Killer only play games If they got a 4k for free. Everything else is "too sweaty"

I play survivor (sometimes with Friends) because for fun. And no I don't want a free 4k with Killer.
I make only 4k with Demo without doing anything because Killer is too esay right now.

I noticed the same. Crossplay off survivor queues are now about 10-20 minutes and crossplay on about 5-15 minutes depending of the time of the day.
No one wants to play killer outside of rift challenges. I know I haven't since June.
You can make maps smaller and pallets unsafe but it doesn't matter if survivors split up and know how to hold m1 and run in a straight line. Add FPS problems and aim dressing to that and you have the ingredients for the most miserable gaming experience.

Apparently you seek the easiest way to victory and want it to be handed out for free. Mmmh... so that is why you play survivor. I think you are on to something here...
Yet if you believed that people would play killer if it was easy and by your words they are easy... why are we lacking killers. You get the paradox in your statements right?

You know a Killer is so strong that he can kill all survivor in less then 20 secounds If he want.
Everytime I escape that mean I was better as a player who has a advantage against me. And tbh Killer are so strong right now, I 4k every match with Demo.

I stopped caring for completing the rift after this one. I'm doing the challenges for fun, but frick your cosmetics BHVR. This rift was literally impossible to conplete without paying for rift tiers.

PC, Steam, EU, Killer Queues long during the day, Survivor Queues instant. Killer instant in the evening, Survivor a little bit longer (but not as long as Killer Queues).
From my experience, the Survivors over the day are easier than the ones in the Evening and especially easier than those you encounter at night. Could be a point why Killers like to play during the day (or, it is like for me - evening is SWF, Solo is Killer).
Also, Crossplay benefits Killers more than Survivors, because Console Killers can easily disable Crossplay and still have instant Queue Times. So more Survivors go into the Crossplay-Pool, but not so many Killers, because they want to stay on Console because of easier Survivors (talking about Killers dont want it easy, eh?).
Of course people will go for "Players dont want to play Killer anymore because of the Nerfs!!11 Devs are always nerfing Killers!!111", but nah. From what I read on the Forums, Killers expect playing Killer as easy as playing Survivor (both are not hard IMO), but you cant really expect that the 1 is easier to play than the 4.

What you are literally asking for the win condition to be for free, if that isn't the easiest way to victory... I don't know what you classify for free as other than easy.
A killer cannot kill all survivor in 20 seconds or less, but sure prove us wrong beat every single person by a landslide:
My question was why do people believe that a 1/4 ratio is not achieved and why people aren't playing the killer side? Your answer was: because killers want easy free 4k wins and that playing killer is easy to get always 4k wins regardless of who you play. Therefore more people would be playing killer and the killer side would have a queue instead of the survivor side... paradox.
Btw. if you escaped it isn't that you were the better player, it means your team performed well. Survivors are part of a 4 man group, not individuals and winning or losing is a combination of multiple people playing well.
If you are unbeatable god, tell me what tournaments are you winning and where can I see some of this gameplay because maybe I can learn a trick or two about killing 4 people in 20 seconds for easy clap wins or is it just a big bark without any truth?

First in my Region Killer queue is Instant. OK not always but still.
Yes Killer always want a 4k because that is the only thing they see as a "Win". They are even mad after a 2 or 3k.
Yes we win as a Team, but does that mean "I lose" because one person died. No I still won.
I diden't record any of my games I make only Screenshots of games I enjoyed or the end chat was funny.
Oh and I don't play Tournaments because I don't like If people looking me.

I enjoy getting a 4k, if I get a 3k that is also a win in my books. If it is a 2k it is a draw and a 1k or 0k is when I lose. Making statements like the killer always wants 4K's is like saying survivors always want to escape. The fact that one person escapes, especially with the hatch mechanic in play doesn't mean that the killer didn't win. Also, not everyone judges the outcome of the game based on deaths versus escapes, some judge it on hooks, blood points, pips and frankly anything you want. Are there killers that get angry with a 3k or 2k sure just like survivors do get salty because they escaped with 2 or 3 and not 4. It is a game you lose some you win some.
You make big claims of killing 4 survivors in 20 seconds. That you can beat anyone and all that, but no proof. You are also going to tell me you don't slug, tunnel, proxy camp and all that ever, because killers don't need to do those things and get 12 hooks a game always. Never dodge a lobby, always at rank1 and are perfect... a god among killers, but are to scared to earn thousands because someone might inspect your game. Sorry but I don't believe it, not that you might not be a good player, but simply a story to good to be true is just that a story.
Anyone that claims that killer is the more powerful, better side to play and easier is simply not being realistic. There is a reason why killer queues are instant across the board. You need 1 killer for every 4 survivors and yet there is a shortage of killers and a queue for survivors to be matched up with them. People naturally gravitate towards the stronger, more enjoyable, easier to execute side.

Toxic survivors, not fun playing anymore, I decided to play a match today rank 5 due to reset, faced 4 rank 2's with ooo that I couldn't see cause they were doing gen exploit and when I got them 2 of them lag switched during chases one of them once as exit gate opened, one multiple times during the match and was much more obvious, just during chases and used gen grab exploit, I was stuck on grab animation till he fully fixed it, was like half done then he ran away before I could move again, I got them all except 1 but didn't notice he lag switched so I didn't mind, but it's ridiculous that literally 0 lag switchers were banned and I reported alot of them with video evidence in the past year :/
Just takes the fun out of playing killer
And if they really bad at game I usually feel bad and let few or all of them go and then it turns out they rank 1...
And unless they do something about it discounts and free weekends ain't gonna help, it's a temporary solution, making it more fair for killer is needed, buff is needed as even solo against good killer it's not too hard to escape

Keep Playing toxic, using Broken perks and rushing, and you queues will be longer and longer :)
