Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Summer events by far were some of the most uninspired, lazy, uninteresting events of all time. Doing reskinned generators is hardly an "event" because it changes nothing about the pace of the game or the the gameplay. We're still doing the exact same thing, just with some identifiable "targets" instead. Boring.

My all time favorite events were the ones that actually had you do go out and do something different. The Lunar Moonrise event where you had to survive with a lantern was a perfect example of this, and the original hallowed blight event where you had to milk the visceral cankers was also really fun and atmospheric, fitting with the theme of halloween. These are the kind of events I want to encourage the devs to create more of- to truly think outside the box and be creative, challenging players in new and unique ways.

Doing reskinned generators in this way, is just dumb, even though unfortunately this has turned into the devs fallback way of creating any event.
