Can we get new stats, please?

If I recall correctly, the last stats released by the DEVs are close to being a YEAR old. I´d really like to see how things changed since then. Perk usage? SWF %? What are the Kill rates? How popular is each Killer?

I´m especially curious as to how those Killers were affected that have recieved changes in the meantime, for example Clown, Trapper, Billy, Leatherface and Spirit. How have the changes affected their popularity? I have my assumptions of course but hard data would be neat to verify/dismiss.

Anyone else want some stats?

    +1

Releasing stats will really go a long way in adding rationale for game changes. This way 10 flame threads aren't created every time someone doesn't like a change that doesn't help their side.

At this point stats would be meaningless. The matchmaking is so messed up it would be pointless to show kill rate or escapes.

As someone that likes looking at stats I'd like them too.

But make the disclaimer telling people to not jump to conclusions after seeing a single number on a graph or something really big and red. Preferably flashing or even cycling through all the colours of the rainbow to make sure everyone sees it 🙃

I'm not sure I want to see the stats. I don't begrudge anyone else their interest, but it doesn't really benefit me in any way to know what other people are taking. I'm not sure it benefits the community either. It is nice when the DEV decide to let us in on the statistics but it also creates a sort of negative feedback loop where everyone tries to skew the numbers to support whatever valid or crackpot theory they have. Personally, I think those numbers are useful for the DEV, but worthless if not downright counterproductive for the rest of us.

It's pointless. Regardless of if they release stats or not ppl will make their own conclusions, like they already are.

You guys bring up valid concerns, I´d find it to be a shame though to deny everyone some insight because of a vocal minority that ignorantly try to push their own agenda. I´m sure there are tons of people among the community that are reasonable enough to take these stats with a grain of salt and are not hellbent on making them align with their own assumptions.

I wish they’d release stats, but ones that are less difficult to misinterpret. There’s a lot that goes into escape rate/kill rate, for example, but showing stuff like how many people are typically playing in each rank bracket, how prevalent SWF are, how often moris are used, pick rate per killer, etc. can just be taken at face value. Those would be interesting.

Even when I enjoy seeing stats I would be against releasing more. Community always uses them as a valid argument for balancing then dismissing any reasoning that conficts with their official stats.

I wish we could get stats without them beiing used by community as balancing argument for following months if not years.

Nope. Everytime they released stats people called BHVR lyers. That they're cheating the numbers. If the only thing that happens after data proves that killer actually have an insane high kill rate, 3/4 man swf doesn't happen very often, is that people accuse bhvr for cheating.

Yea everyone wants stats, but then saying they cheat isn't the play. So.. strike out this idea.

The stats are misinterpreted because they are presented incorrectly or have some ambiguity. Ignorance also, can never be erased, so I say, bring on the stats.

The things you mention, dcs/ killing on hook, are games/ kills that should be filtered out depending on what has happened during the match. I'm not saying it is easy, but including them was incorrectly inflating kill rates. They also like to combine data in strange ways and don't want to do breakdowns via region or platform.

There's good reason for debate though. 60% is very close to the desired 50%, and with the way the game is designed it's WAY easier to go from 0 kills to 1 kill, and from 3 kills to 4. The numbers are always going to be higher than a perfect 50% because even in the absolute worst of games you can camp someone to death and bump the average up even though it was an awful performance and an awful game.
