Who would win, The Oni or The Spirit?
In a fight to the death who would win, The Oni or The Spirit. The Oni defiantly has the upper hand when it comes to pure power and strength but The Spirit has the ability to confuse and sneak up on her enemy with ease. I'd assume that The Oni has more skill when it comes to wielding a katana due to him being alive in a period of time when fighting was commonplace. Who do you think would win?

Not even close man. It´s like asking whether Alistair Overeem would win against Meryl Streep.
Legendary Samurai that slaughtered countless other renowned warrios, often numerous foes against him alone vs girl that trained Kendo for a bit.

Can't Spirit just phase and slice Oni's throat? He's not fast enough to dodge her while phasing. Size and strength don't mean much when your opponent is faster and basically invisible to you.
Unless they can't use their powers? Then Oni would crush Spirit.

In this situation they would be allowed to use their powers and at first I thought the exact same thing as you but considering the lore surrounding The Oni and how skilled he is during battle, I thought that he would be able to avoid The Spirit's attack and strike quickly with a killing blow.

Assuming they'd be able to use their powers, Spirit would just stop existing and then would kill Kazan without any chance for him to outplay her, without powers though Oni would rip Spirit in half with ease.

Well, like in the game, she could still be heard. Given how extreme the difference in fighting prowess between the two is I reckon Oni would actually beat her blindfolded.

They're fictional characters; either of them could win depending on the person describing/writing this encounter.
Personally I say Spirit, because she can teleport, but that doesn't mean there aren't tons of scenarios where Oni might win.

I vote for Oni more out of reflex than anything else, more like a knee jerk reactionary answer that I want to say Oni would win. EDIT: By the end of my post I changed my mind, shift my vote for spirit.
But TBH, I don't think it's as clear cut as everybody else says it would be where "Oh man, Oni Rips her in half, straight up dude" because think about it: If Oni Ripped the Spirit in half what would happen?
Girl would literally float back together. No cap.
Spirit is LITERALLY already Chopped up in multiple places, What is the Oni gonna do, chop her up some more? Even if he did something like cut off her head, her head would literally hover in place still thinking Spirit and being filled with rage.
I have this hilarious image in my head where the Oni goes for a devastating downward stroke slicing right through her arm, and it turns out his sword literally went between the empty space where her arm is already cut off in the first place. So the man literally whiffed and hit nothing but empty space and air lol.
Oni's advantage - sheer strength & raw power, endurance, extremely resistant to physical injury (but not invincible)
Spirit's advantage - Incorporeal, Can't die (in the traditional sense, being stabbed, bashed, cut, etc. none of that would kill her [if it COULD she would have died from her wounds a long time ago])
To be honest Spirit could probably just outlast the Oni. Shoot I should've voted for Spirit actually.

Can't hit what ya can't see. Everytime Oni would go into a demon rage spirit could just phase out of existence. The perfect counter.
EDIT: Not to mention his demon rage literally relies on the blood of his "injured foes" and victims to fuel him, and clearly Spirit doesn't bleed.
