Mori=Error Disconnect 500

This has happened five times today, doesn't matter the color of the mori. Why though?

Because moris are not fair (except for yellow) and everyone knows it?

That’s usually why killers bring moris or disconnect too. Fighting broken item with broken offering doesn’t help those who are victim to them (ie. The solos who the key holders usually don’t care about or the killer that decide to play fair and can’t perform as well to prevent the key escape.). It sucks to be the butt end of either but your whataboutism ruins discussions of this specific topic. Make your own discussion and talk about it there, and yes. I would be saying the same thing in your discussion if someone used whataboutism as well.

I don't DC when I see a Mori in the loading screen. I play it out, expecting the worst, but hoping for the best. I played a match recently (my two man SWF, my friend and I) where the killer brought an Ebony Mori and never used it, despite having numerous opportunities to do so. And I've had matches where the killer brought an Ebony Mori and never used it because everyone got out without anyone getting downed twice, You never know how any given match will play out.

This is a post about Mori's. Which is wierd that I'm saying that to the OP, but hey. Things happen.

People don't like uncontrollable losses. Mori's are arguably the biggest advantage a player can give themselves in terms of effort-reward. There's plenty of other things in the game that are extremely strong, sure, but you specifically asked about why people DC when they know they have no hope: Well, because it's quicker than suiciding.

Not trying to tar all killer players with the same brush but those who bring Moris tend to play sweaty & even play toxic, on top of the fact that it’s an OP offering.

I dont dc, I just play through gritted teeth.

They are OP and often the killer just tunnels the first guy off the hook and moris him.

Faced a few yesterday. 1 killer just straight camped with his mori. Used his extra range PH to get me after last second save. Then tunneled dude through BT and moried him.

I'm sure he didn't have fun.

But the best feeling is when you get 4 out and end screen shows an ebony and killer didn't get any hooks.

They're in the game, really just got to deal with them.

You didn't have 4 escape with a gen left that's impossible because that hatch doesn't spawn unless all the gens are done with everyone alive in which case you already lost anyway, for a key to equal a Mori I would be allowed to pop the hatch after completing one objective just like the killer, DC in any case is frowned upon

Because there's no punishment for "disconnecting" during the offering/loading screen.

I don't really have an opinion one way or another about it. I'd much rather have a match never happen at all than have someone DC once it has started.

I honestly don’t blame people for DCing against a mori. Games with a mori are rarely ever fun. I had a solo que game today where I was playing against a wraith with an ebony mori and even though three gens popped before he even got a single down he still made a comeback because of course he hard tunnelled my teammate off hook thanks to the mori and was able to win because he also hard tunnelled the next person he caught. Not much me and the David could do, even if we were at 1 gen at that point. What’s more the mother f**ker actually had the audacity to slug for the 4K, absolutely swimming in sweat whilst doing so I imagine lol. People who use moris tend to play in a very distasteful manner so it’s no surprise really that moris and the people who use them are so deeply loathed by most people.

I don't DC on the offering screen against moris unless it's been a constant barrage of them all night. At that point, I'm not done playing the game, but I AM done with playing against moris.

I wouldn't have such a big issue with moris if it wasn't for the fact that most killers play a certain way when they do have a mori on. Nobody enjoys getting proxy camped and tunneled to die before they even have 2k BPs after waiting for a match. Nobody likes 1st hook moris either, even if they don't get tunneled off hook. If you're cool and just use moris as a way to stop a match from spinning out of control for you as killer, that's alright by me. But 95% of the time... it's a tunnel fest regardless of how many survivors are alive or how many gens are left.

The only counter to moris are

    1. Don't get caught.

    2. Don't get caught again, or

    3. DC as soon as the offering doesn't flip over LMAO
