Way Too Much Unnecessary Grind
The more and more stuff this game adds, the more the grind becomes, the less encouraged i am to prestiging anything.
Due to the adding of the counter map choice and hatch spawn offering this created more stuff i'll most likely never use which means more BP invested into wastage. The more characters that get added to the game, the more BP you will be required to spend in order to get things for that character.
As of current patch there is 21 Killers, 23 Survivors. As we know each character has 3 teachable perks. This means that there is 63 Killer Teachables, 69 Survivor Perks. To then have the perk at it's max potential you also need to unlock that perk 3 times so this would mean 63x3 = 189 Killer Teachables, 69x3 = 207 Survivor Perks, this isn't even including base game perks like We'll Make it or Sloppy Butcher.
This just creates unnecessary grind, sure it was fine back in the day but back then we didn't have as much as we do today. Think of the amount of BP and hours required if you want to get all Perks for just 1 character and to be honest after all that grind there isn't much reward out of it all.
Daily's are outdated now I feel too, 50k for a daily? Some even being 25k? Good luck even getting 1 web out of that at level 50. I personally like the Daily style they have on mobile where they have not only a bunch of Daily's but also Starters, Weekly etc. Having this feature would be quality of life change, maybe even Monthly's that are just that extra to get. I'd even have it be those challenges give off a bit of Tome level points to create less of a grind for the tome.
Speaking of Tome, another unnecessary grind. 70 Days to get 70 Tiers? So essentially they want you to get a tier a day? At least to be fair with Fortnite their seasons go on for longer and their challenges are actually rewarding, even Daily's give off 10k XP for something simple like "Get an elim with an AR".
Also with Fortnite they allow you to complete multiple challenges in one game. So for example you could pump out "Land at X, Open 5 Chests, Open 5 Ammo Boxes and Get 3 Elims with Shotgun" all in one match. Could you imagine Fortnite if you could only do one of these per game? DbD should look at going the same route. I personally don't consider the Tome Challenges "challenging" i just see them as "Play our game" "Kill Obsession 10 times" so in other words if you don't have Nemesis and lets say you don't get hit by DS thats minimum 10 games you need to play just to complete that? How is this a challenge?
Imagine if it could be for example "Chase for 100 seconds, Kick 5 gens, Hook 8 Survivors and Use Wraith's Ability 8 Times" because let's face it we have all had matches where we have definitely completed multiple challenges in one game this would create less grind so it would just be a quality of life change.
