4.3.0 Blighted Cosmetics
Will this year's Blighted cosmetics be available for purchase with serum tokens like last year? Like, we could get 2 full outfits with serum last year I believe.

We don't know.

Poor Oni got left put of the blighted lineup. Maybe he'll be in the free track like Nurse was.

The only outfit they talked about on the devstream being on the Rift was David

Also wasn't nurse on the premium one?
1 -
Oh, was she? I honestly don't remember.

It was. BHVR is continuing doing what they do best, making the game worse for everyone via macrotransaction bullshit.
4 -
You say that but it can get a lot worse.
Booster packs, inventory space, and randomized pulls for important items.
Oh and crafting, with an RNG based enhancement system.

I am fully expecting that, plus lootboxes, to come to DbD eventually. Its all a matter of time. BHVR's looking at EA and Activision-Blizzard and scribbling down notes on how to further make Macrotransactions worse.

Due to COVID there was probably not enough time to make outfits for all killers released since last year, Deathslinger doesn't seem to be getting an outfit either. The stabby part of his gun could be the serum syringe that all killer weapons have attached somewhere, that would look very cool and be fitting. Maybe the "harpoon" that he shoots could look like a syringe too, instead of the spike it currently has.
If only there had been already made outfits, fully finished and even existing in the game files that could be released to keep up the release schedule of new outfits (which is important, and I understand that this kept up and I think it was the right decision to keep releasing cosmetics regularly), so the designers and artists had a lower workload while working from home, giving them time to make the outfits for Oni and Deathslinger.
Just in case it is not clear enough: The battlepass cosmetics are those items. Instead of pushing out new outfits (such as the Oktoberfest items recently) the already existing items could have been put on the store instead. It should be much less work to sell existing items that already exist in the game files than making completely new ones and then selling those.

No, then we'd have $30 map packs and $60 season passes.
But this would be after shoehorning those same microtransactions into the game, then deeming it a failure when it doesn't break their own self imposed sales projections. Then they would shutter down their own studio after making a FPShootan game with a cops ands robbers aesthetic in the middle of a race war.
Still mad about Visceral.

Never played the game so I don't really care. Don't care much for Riot's stuff anyway. Its all Chinese funded.

Lol the only macrotransactions in this game are pure aesthetics.
You can call the devs on a lot. Greedy is not one of it though. They could get away with so much worse.

Of course things can be worse. They always can. That doesn't mean I should thank BHVR for 'only' going this far. They're pushing the limit, little by little. There's an allegory about boiling a living frog in water that perfectly represent this situation.
2 -
How are they pusing the limit? They allow original characters to be purchased with in game currency. They even allowed licenced perks to be purchested with in game currency
Every single transaction is purely optional. So yes you should be thanking the devs for all the ways you can get things in this game with shards and how you aren't screwed if you don't pay for microtransactions.
God forbid a company trying to make money

A perfect example was when Pig got her $15 skin. It was the only $15 skin in the game. The excuse was that they had to do "more" with that skin than others, thus is "justified" the price increase.
Some time later, we started seeing $15 "legendary" skins that's literally just a reskin with nothing unique about them. No new sounds or whatever. Knowing that, this is just an escalation of prices. No doubt players gobbled it up whole and BHVR's probably confident that they don't have to do anything special about "legendary" skins for players to buy 'em.
And stop with the "its optional" argument. Its so #########. We're not getting macrotransactions pushed in our faces all the time because its an "optional" thing. BHVR don't want it to be "optional". They want you to crack and start spending. NO game out there with macrotransactions added them into the game with the mindset that it'll be "optional".

The legendary skins were never advertised as more then reskins. Not their fault people expected more then advertised.
And i will not stop with the it's optional argument cause I am right. It is all optional. You finding it ######### does not make it any less true.
There is little to no gameplay advantage to get with microtransactions. They are litterally purelly there to support BHVR
Ofcourse they want it to sell cause once again Shocker the company wants to make money.
If you can't resist any shiny thing dangling in front of you then that's you having a spending problem not BHVR being "greedy"

No, shards or auric cells only. (however david is in the rift like nurse was prior)
