Censorship of anything monetary related?

By all means try and force a change no one is saying you can't but do it within the rules of the forum.
You have to use some common sense when on their forum.
I also don't know why you quoted myself for just discussing and explaining something.
2 -
That all depends on the wording of the post 😉.
Many on here are civil and do give great feedback I agree with 100% but then we look at the DBD community and well peaceful is not a word I would relate to some of them.
4 -
Yeah, I agree.
But I also agree with not throwing money their way for a time. Haven't even gotten Felix blight outfit cause I'm bugged about things...
4 -
Sadly this is kinda true, with the killers complaining about Survivors, and they complain about NOED. The last time I've seen something like this was when ScottJund released that video about that certain killers aren't fun, that really damaged the community.

Congrats on 4000 posts😊.
Anyways, some people struggle to articulate and then become belligerent. I hate when this stops a productive conversation on any medium.
3 -
Organising attacks @MandyTalk ?
So my question is, protesting peacefully with videos and ideas, so no flame wars or insult wars, just peaceful and idea protests made by multiple people, or one person, considered hostile? And is it considered bannable?
2 -
Are you saying this topic hurts the community? Because that wasn't the intention. I wanted to address a breakdown in communication and make the topic of monetization approachable, because it appears many are unhappy with it.
0 -
No not at all, all I'm saying is that there has been worse complaints then this. You are doing fine, what I was saying was this not a first time something like this happened. This does not hurt the community, there have been worse cases

This is too much imo, overall the big problems get fixed, but new problems come and old things like literally worthless perks, bad rng, and other stuff don't find even and ideal solution, like "ok maybe 20 pallet totally on blood lodge, and km² dead zones a problem too, we'll fix this by doing x,y, z etc"
0 -
Ok. I want to make sure people are understanding the intent here. I don't want a blame game insult contest. I want a constructive conversation on what changed in monetization that has created this rift in the community. And that way Behavior can see clear concerns and possibly course correct it.

I get that most players simply can't afford to pay for skins. In some cases they aren't cheap. So, it was a great "concept" to allow them to grind for via shards. However, there's really no reward for those of us who actually subsidize the game.
The rift seems like a great start to put a lot of stuff in there, but it's loaded with useless charms and costumes. As someone who plays multiple games with "battle passes" this is one of the worst in terms of rewards. I looked through the rift last night and there is literally nothing in there that entices me to get the pass and I've purchased every one.
I'd like to see more rewards and content geared towards those of us who actually spend money in the game. Please consider upping the ante in the rift.

I think there are few ways to protest peacefully:
1 hope new horror games come out, so dbd actually has a solid competitor
2 give them money when they do good stuff and stop buying cosmetics when aspects of the gameplay do not satisfy and simple things don't get fixed
3 Protest with ideas, in the forums, on the medias
2 -
Also a legit practice in capitalism... you don't pay if the product doesn't deserves the money you give for services or good.
3 -
And you are doing just that you are in the green
2 -
Mmm this changes my idea towards you if it's true.
Jesus determining who's right and who's wrong in dbd is always so difficult 🥵

I know how it feels

Right.

We won't know until they update or aknowledge on a stream or a bigger platform than just a forum
1 -
They already acknowledged it on the stream.

Ok, I agree that summing up a certain problem in a big thread is a good thing.
But not if the ideas brought by it are mixed with other different ideas, or other concepts.

From https://www.etymonline.com/word/argument
So is it unfair to discuss about money?
Btw telling others to stop spending money doesn't mean forcing others to spend money. It's a peaceful protest
And I even if legally the game is of the devs, morally as even M.Cote said this is not just their game, this is a big house now. Morally the community owns a part of the game if it's fair enough, especially considering that if the game is as this point, it's because of people that played it, bought it, found bugs and unbalanced perks, etc.
3 -
I never said it wasn't but it has to be within the rules of the forum which are made by the devs.
This is a place where we are given a voice and expected to be respectful while using it.
1 -
I think most times it's not so much a matter of who's right or wrong but how they go about expressing their opinion. If things stay civil even the worst of difference in opinions can settle in a "agree to disagree" if both sides are respectful.
I agree peaceful protests are the best way to cause a change. But I also understand a company not wanting their own forum seemingly used to hurt the company.
If more people voiced their valid issues (which there are MANY) without immediately insulting the team in the process I think more issues would stay in open view and then be fixed.
0 -
Then it all depends whether asking others not to give more money for cosmetics to the devs is considered by them a premeditated attack or not
2 -
It creates less value, but I think it's tolerable for what the mods have to do
0 -
Exactly
1 -
If you were to blatantly just say "don't buy this because it's garbage and they suck for trying to sell it" I think that could be considered for removal because it doesn't address a particular issue.
If you were to say "I refuse to buy this because the value is far less than it should be or used to be. Does anybody else agree?". I believe that should be fine as it starts a conversation that will give the sales and dev teams a reason and an option to fix it based on how many people feel the same way.

Oh ok I understand what you are trying to say. ALL CLEAR NOW

@Leonardo1ita the OP of that thread has actually confirmed it on this very forum that I edited nothing. I don't deny when I edit a post because if I edit something it's because something isn't in our forum rules - I would never edit someone's post and write GG - that would be incredibly childish and not my style in the slightest. I also usually leave a comment as to why I've edited something.

now that's a lie, a recall a certain thread being deleted and a user being banned for it when it hardly broke the rules.
he didn't attack or organize a boycott simply pointed out his view of seeing this event being influenced by the current greed of the company. Then stating that its a reason players are viewing his channel because they are also unhappy about the current situation. that's not attacking that's having an opinion and sharing it so why was the thread deleted?
when he referenced an investment from china that wasn't a attack that was a fact that he pointed out and one that anyone can find on their own. and when he brought up "good will" its kinda true since a simple outfit costs 10$ and in the previous Halloween events we at least got a way to earn the cosmetics. compare that to now where they all cost money or shards with no way to earn them through a event currency AND event charms are code locked making them a cosmetic that a extremely large portion of the community cant get without having to watch streamers bhvr is supporting for even a chance to get it.
whats going now is contrary to what they said they wouldn't do and its ridiculous that this is called an event when there's nothing event like included. seriously how can you call this an event when the only motivation to play is to complete the rift and tome challenges just like we have been doing for the past year and this time with even less rewards.
I fully expect this to be deleted but so what it proves a point that your censoring and if you don't it still proves it, this isn't about a ban this is about why the thread was deleted.
3 -
Ok, I believe you 100% about that question/thing about the "GG post moved", less credibility to coconut now ( even if he may have thought wrong)
But you still have to explain to us what a premeditated attack is and what is considered hostile
Btw editing with a GG would be fun as a joke (just one time 🤣) and then revert it back of course
0 -
I dont like it when people attack @MandyTalk.
3 -
i volunteer my own post as tribute. just change it to say "GG!" and i wouldnt even be mad
Ninja Luzi Edit: "GG!"1 -
Depends whether you consider a critic a dangerous attack
0 -
People attack her on a personal level all the time here.
2 -
Just a joke, for a few seconds, so one "says wait what happened to my thr.... GG?!" Get pranked! XD

If it's true I did not know, this is a thing that shouldn't happen.

I'm locking this thread as it keeps circling back... It has been explained a few times so far. We do truly appreciate the feedback (whether positive or negative, as long as it's not insulting) and we forward it. We can and we DO forward feedback from the community to the team.
@twistedmonkey explains it here perfectly.
