Facebook Posts Rant
I have been following DBD on FB for a long time, recently I just started to like the posts and move on because the comments are always full of crybabies.
Today I went through the comments of a recent post to see if anyone is experiencing the same issue I am (being unable to harvest on PS4) and I immediately regretted it. The complaining is unreal. It's like a freakin' bitchfest of miserable ass people that seem to enjoy complaining. I am aware I am complaining rn.
I am genuinely curious, am I the only one that's actually happy with the game?
I buy the Rifts because I want to show support and obtain some of the items. From the support of people buying the Rift and cosmetics, I feel like this is how we got these beautifully revamped maps.
I play on PS4 so I am experiencing the match start lag but it's for maybe 10 seconds and the rest of the match is smooth. I can see it being frustrating for those that take off running (and subsequently get hooked) when matches starts but for me it's not that big of an issue that my life and will to live is ruined but by some of the comments people leave you would legitimately think that this has destroyed their world.
I'm genuinely happy with the game, the direction, the updates, and the new character additions as of late, all of the Rifts that have been released, and etc. My only complaint has ever been other players.
The whole DC situation has gotten far worse since cross started, killers can be extra try-hard when 2 people already DC'd and 4 gens still need done, some survivors do to next to nothing to contribute, and etc but it's a player issue and that could never be fixed. What can they really do to stop toxicity when everyone's definition of what is toxic varies so widely.
I honestly just want to tell a lot of those people to stfu and delete the game if they feel so miserable about it but I think they enjoy the misery loves company in the comments. When someone actually leaves a positive comment that person is laughed and and attacked with rude replies. I have the DBD logo on my car, some merch and I'm legit a fan but I personally feel like it's getting embarrassing how other gaming communities feels like the DBD community is so negative as a whole.

To answer you question about harvesting, from what I know, you have to have the challenge to harvest equipped. For example, my friend and I were in the same match and he couldn't harvest, but I could (cuz I had the challenge) It's most likely so randoms don't harvest your plants.

I've seen videos of playing on ps4, I 100% agree with their bitchiness, you are lucky I guess, the videos that I saw, people's fps dropped to like 1 fps making them not able to see what they were doing, they were hiding and then again their fps drop and got them killed a few times, yeah it isn't fair.

I play on Ps4 and own it on XBox it is night a day right now with how it plays. It is by far the worst it has ever been with the frame drops but BHVR will always have people defend them.

Sorry to hear it's the worst right now, I used to play on ps4, and yes there is always someone that defends them even when the devs know and have said that they are working on a fix.

I'm not defending the FR drop, I am saying people ######### about anything and everything that BHVR posts on Facebook. It's like BHVR posts about the Halloween cosmetics and people in the comments start bitching about how this one time 3 years ago a survivor teabagged them and they hate the game. The frame rate comment was an example for the typical types of comments people leave on the posts - repetitively. If DBD makes people question their existence to that type of rage, idk...maybe there's deeper issues.
It's the fact that there is far more negativity than anything else.

I play on ps4, my frames are dropping the entire match. There's multiple videos on this forum of others experiencing that as well as people without videos detailing the performance issues they are having since the patch. It's so bad that they actually tweeted acknowledging it BECAUSE people were complaining on social media and the forums. You must just be lucky to not experience it.
DCs were bad since crossplay started because they shut off DC penalties around same time due to hackers giving streamers large DC penalties. DCs for some were pretty much every match multiple players. The DCs were preventing players from being able to complete challenges. While they weren't bad for you they were for plenty of people to ruin their experience playing the game. The devs only just recently put the DC penalties back up so hopefully that will help cut down the amount.
People complaining means they still care about the game and want it to be better. People complained about the Halloween event being lackluster because they care and want a horror based game to have a better Halloween event than the non-horror games Halloween events. Now DBD are planning to make adjustments that hopefully give us an actual event. If people just dropped the game the game would die, instead they complain about the faults in hopes changes will be made to keep the game alive.
**edit to add: People complain on DBD FB posts about unrelated issues because on FB that is the best way to get their issues seen. Unless they make a daily "voice your complaints here" post or an official DBD group the comment section on random DBD page posts is where they will go. Not everyone will sign up on the forums, they'll use the platform they are already on.
