Usually he benefits from the undying + ruin combo. Mostly because of the amount of pressure he can apply. Tinkerer, BBQ, and brutal strength are also really good options on him.

Pop, tinkerer, BBQ and whispers/shadowborn is my favourite build.

Pop and tinkerer for gen pressure, whispers to find someone quickly, and BBQ for a sense of direction after I hook someone.

But his best build is undying, ruin, tinkerer and BBQ.

I don't like the Undying + Ruin combo, so I'm running something slightly different.

    • BBQ (Obviously for bloodpoints, but the aura reading is pretty good too)
    • PGTW (I don't want to get genrushed :( )
    • Brutal Strength (After destroying a pallet I can catch up so much quicker!)
    • Bamboozle or Fire Up (Bamboozle to block the windows and for that sweet vault speed, or Fire Up to catch up even faster!)

Imagine using fire up, the biggest crutch perk in dbd.

I run Tinkerer (his speed can get the jump on those gens) and Shadowborn (better field of view for rushing), and the other two perks I run are just placeholders while I try to get BBQ (Aura-reading) and Monitor (smaller TR) (Knock Out is one of them, I forgot what the other is and don't feel like booting the game up to find out).

If your good at pressuring gens, I really don't see the need for Ruin and Undying on him. I know rank doesn't matter at this time, but I've done consistently well with him at rank 5 with my current build.

You equipped it knowing the only counter to it is to not do gens, you should feel ashamed of yourself for getting carried by such a perk.

My go to build at this point is Ruin + Undying, BBQ and a Misc. perk like M&A, Brutal Strength, Enduring, or Discordance. I know how popular Tinkerer is but I just feel guilty using it on a killer whose strong on his own like this. Undying and Ruin is good enough.

Ruin & Undying I know is controversial now but at this point because of issues with the base game and gen regression I prefer to run it. Tending to generators isn't fun to me whereas chasing survivors is. Ruin is too fragile by itself and yet with Undying it's a bit too strong. But considering the meta now whatever.

BBQ because bloodpoints and some tracking.

Brutal Strength and Enduring are good for two reasons. Brutal Strength because you will likely break a lot of pallets with blight and due to his camera when doing so you actually can track survivors running away. Enduring so you be aggressive. M&A so you give survivors a little less warning when you're coming in and Discordance for more tracking. My one issue is I wish his attack counted as a basic attack so that certain perks aren't completely useless on him such as surge, sloppy, STBFL, knock out, etc.

Do you think uninstalling is a good enough punishment?
