Is there a reason for this player drop off? My games have been fine lately

I don't super follow news n forums, but noticed this when I was browsing steam charts.

Are there bad bugs or something rn? My games have honestly been fine, unless I'm missing some glitches I've avoided (and if this related to a bug sorry in advance!)

    Lets list off the examples:

The game is more or less unplayable on PS4.

Hit validation for killers has gone insane making M1ing afk survivors miss despite them literally not moving.

An insane amount of killer's powers are bugged to a "Nurse" degree such as blight whose power can randomly become unusable for the remainder of the trail or wraith who's have to fully decloak multiple times for the game to actually decloak them.

The Halloween event + rift are so lacking that there's no reason for a lot of people to play.

The list goes on but those are the highlights.

The game usually has drop offs every quarter within a couple months after each chapter. If you keep looking at that list you'll see it's usually about a 15-20% drop off before the next chapter in the next quarter followed by an increase. Overall the game had roughly its highest peak players in September so it's natural for that to drop off in October and November.

The thing to watch for would be if the next DLC increase is lackluster and the following decline is still about 20%, that would be an indication the population might have peaked or is slowly in decline in the near term.

That's normal. People stop playing til something new happens. It doesn't help that this "event" hasn't really brought anyone back, but the next chapter probably will.
