Can someone explain the cut scenes from the tome?
I've watched them so many times, and I feel like they don't fit with the lore? Like maybe I'm a dumby but I genuinely don't understand them so explain like I'm a child please.

As far as I understand, the Archives are memories, from before they were taken by the Entity. The Entity feeds on the mind just as much as the body, but it doesn't need the memories.
So, all the cutscenes are just... Important memories. Spirit beating the everloving ######### out of some random bullies with all that Oni blood in her.
Claudette getting her first chemistry set.
The Blight being taken to be a killer.
Meg winning a race, hurting herself doing it
Doc torturing people because he's insane.

I got Docs because it was pretty spot on and Meg, but I think it's the hags that confused me most? It felt very modern if I'm thinking of the right one. I haven't actually unlocked them I watch them all on YouTube because I can never complete the tomes because a new one comes out and my brain goes ooo new challenges!

I'll be completely honest, I don't get Hag's either. I think it's supposed to mean she always had ties to her powers, since her friend has that symbol in her hand?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't get it, I felt kinda dumb for not understanding because people in comments on the videos are like oh it's so easy to understand. I kinda got the symbol part but something seemed strange?

I mean, there's also the fact that I despise Hag and her playstyle, so I didn't really complete her challenges unless they were easy. So I don't really know her lore too well, I'm sure it probably explained her archive entries.

I don't even play her for dailies. I can respect a good Hag, but I find pretty much every other killer in this game more fun to play and play against. I'd much rather go against a Spirit or Deathslinger then a Hag. The only killer I dislike more is Freddy.

You need to read the lore to understand the cutscene for Hag.
basically her Grandma has access to Voodoo magic, Litte schoolgirl Hag and her best friend don’t really believe in it but still try to use symbols to get lucky or something. Best friend dies and Hag realizes Voodoo is real and can be dangerous. Kinda? Don’t remember everything.

That makes sense, I've read the lore that's why I couldn't make the connection because it looked very modern whereas I always pictured hag coming from an ancient background.

the cutscenes act as a final summary / conclusion of the stories that have been told throughout the tome and resemble the characters past, memories of their long lost life.
they are just there to show you how the different characters lived before being abducted by the entity. a little explanation to how the Killers went insane or just to deepen the personality of a character for survivors.
