Yeah the match making sucks!
But unfortunately smal pp build has become necessary.
If there is no obsession, your team just gets straight tunneled out of the game.
You have to make sure an obsession is in the game to at least make the killer respect it a little bit.

I run at least 1 meta but I refuse to put two or more together. And I've had some fun builds around one meta.

It's SWF. Their lowest ranked friend gets paired with their level and everyone else is along for the ride.

More like the matchmaking ratings for swfs is the problem then. It should rate groups with swfs higher than if if those same players were solo.
Also, still a fluke going against a swf with two rank 1s and purples as a brown 13.

Not a fluke if it happens 100% of the time. Every time I go swf, i can expect an easy game.

So DS has become necessary. Unbreakable in addition is just like: "Well screw it i wanna win that one."

The above doesn’t happen 100% of the time. I guarantee most of that rank 13 killer’s matches aren’t against two rank 1 players

Yeah the synergy with unbreakable is kinda BS.
I just want to play a bit. And as a player that is still working on the loops, I can be put out of a game fast if killer decides to use that tactic against me.
I myself rarely get to use it, because I prefer to heal up with a fast medkit. So it really only works for me in the truest sense of tunneling.
As a killer I don't seem to get hit with it very often, lucky maybe ,my play style probably helps there as well.
I will concede it does boost you. A DS/UB build is going to help you pip up. Maybe at least 2 or 3 ranks. But that could also be because you get a little more time to play.

This is generally the result of someone "Smurfing," i.e. a couple of potent Rank Players purposely coming in with weak Rank so they can pull a weaker Killer. There used to be protection against this, and it should be turned back on. I've seen a lot of this going on.

As a survivor i rarely get use out of it, and as killer i get DSed pretty often, most times by random people working on a gen. It gets really annoying if it just works as anti-momentum.

Well I can understand that.
I'm not that kind of survivor. Heal first with fast ass med kit. Then gen time.. You gotta hit me twice if you find me again.
And by then DS is gone.
I only get you with DS in a true tunnel.

Trust me when I say this killers are the power role. You might just be bad at being one.

I don't even get the point of the ranking system if a Yellow rank goes up against 2 Rank 1s with no one lower than him.

Yes, and I kept regurgitating the information I was fed to my teammates as we got rank 20 killer after rank 20 killer while I sat in red.
