Hey new players...Stop flapping your arms while on the hook UNLESS you're being camped
Can we all just get on the same page with this. If you flap your arms while on the hook, you risk not being saved because many experienced players will see that and keep doing gens to punish the killer.

This used to mean something, but it really doesn't and you just kind of have to move a long with the times and adapt.
This question has been posed many times, and some people think flapping means to come save, some people use it to signify camping, and some do it for fun.
You'll never get a straight answer, and the other three in your match might all have different ideas of what it means, it's best just to check now.

I honestly thought it was only done to signal to other survivors "Don't try and save me, the Killer is camping!"
Especially the stealth killers or perks that affect TR, sometimes the Killer will hide from LOS and wait. So that's the only reason I flap on hook- to warn teammates.

I think the flapping arms being code for camping has kinda lost its meaning over time.

For me, it's always meant the killer is camping and when you pretend to attempt over and over again, that means "Come unhook me!"

There are some people who even think that doing it slowly = I'm being camped and spamming it rapidly = get your butt over there and save me.

Honestly, I would flap my arms about because Felix moaning low-key is hot.
Sorry, I'm gay.
