Why does dropping a survivor now let them run away instead of crawling on the ground?
I just played about 4 or 5 games where I’ve picked up a crawling survivor and when I went to go drop them on the ground, they were able to just run away. I was only carrying them about a short time. Has something changed? If not, how does the drop work? I’ve played so many rounds and this hasn’t been an issue. I don’t play for a week and when I come back to the game, it’s now an issue.

Are you sure they didn't just get to like 80% wiggle? That's the only way that can happen unless they had Adrenaline.

If they were slugged for a bit, they could have gotten some wiggle bar progression with Flip Flop. The perk turns half of recovery progress into wiggle progress.

Alternatively it's possible they could've had Adrenaline?

Every time you drop someone, a certain amount of the wiggle bar gets filled up. If they've wiggled enough, dropping them gives them enough to complete the bar and run away.
Also flip flop, breakout, etc.

when you drop a survivor it fills 33% or 25% (I forget which) of their wiggle bar, if they have a wiggle bar progressed enough you will get stunned if you drop them.

It's 25% I think.

You're right!
33% was before the sabo changes.
25% is now after the sabo changes.

I dunno guys, I can't imagine him getting flip-flop survivors 4 or 5 times in a row. Although if it was the end-game it definitely could've been adrenaline, which is far more common.

when you drop a Survivor they immediately fill 25% of their wiggle bar.
if you drop them when they are above 75% wiggle, they get to break free from your grasp.
thats probaply what happened there.

Correct, it's 25%. Used to be 33%, we reduced it at some point.

If you didnt get stunned it was Adrenaline. When you are disabled while Adrenaline should be activated it gets holdin back. Once you are not disabled anymore Adrenaline triggers. You found out how to counter it. Sometimes when I have someone on the shoulder when the last gen poppes I drop him infront of the hook so that I can down him immediately and get rid of the adrenaline.
So next time use it to your advantage.

It's always risky to drop because the drop button is ridiculously unresponsive. You'll stop with the intent to drop the survivor but end up having to spam the button, and then by the time the input registers, they're 75% wiggled and they break free. It's usually best to keep walking towards the hook in case the game decides to not let you drop the survivor in a reasonable amount of time. That way you can still get the hook and don't leave yourself hanging.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback! I’m not sure what flip flop and adrenaline are yet, so I’ll have to check into those perks.
To be clear, this was happening when I would go run to put a survivor on the hook and another survivor would try to block my path. Sometimes the path to the hook was very short and I don’t believe there would have been enough time to have the wiggle bar max out. I’ve had the wiggle bar max out on me a few times before and it just didn’t feel like that. Also, I wasn’t picking up the survivor, carrying them, dropping them, and trying to pick them up again. I did learn that the wiggle bar progression grows upon dropping a survivor, so I always avoided picking them up a 2nd time.
Hope that helps, thanks again!

I rarely have to drop survivors but I've been learning to just grab people trying to unhook a survivor and then just dropping them right away so they can't unhook and I can catch a 2nd survivor if they're still trying to unhook in front of me. On some occassions I have had to drop a survivor as Pyramid Head because they're at Final Judgement and I accidentally picked them up

Wait...are you saying that if a survivor is trying to unhook another survivor, then I can just grab and pick up the unhooking survivor while they’re still trying to perform the action??

Yes. You can interrupt survivor actions by tapping the attack button. Here's some of them:
- Survivor on a gen
- Survivor performing an unhook
- Survivor jumping into a locker
- Survivor medium/slow vaulting a window or pallet while injured.
- Survivor opening the exit
Make sure you tap the attack button. Holding it will count as a lunge. This is good to know if you actually don't want to grab them. You also need to touching them while you do this.

You Also need to be mostly behind them. If you're to the side instead you'll swing at them instead of picking them up, which in the case of unhook can be very bad

Have you considered making Iron Grasp reduce it even more? :D
