Ormond Rework Is Gonna Make Many Killers Leave Part 2 (I called it)
Oh look they created an infinite with a breakable wall. WHO COULD HAVE GUESSED.
Unless this is removed from the map by the time it goes live I will not play this map.
I don't care if the penaltiy goes to 4 hours 12 hours 24 hours or a full week. I refuse to play on a map where the designers are this (insert word I shouldn't say here) to realize that creating infinites with the justification that there is a breakable wall is **Bad Map Design** .
Anyway, hope the new killer is good otherwise this is looking to be even more of a disapointment than the Halloween "event" cough cash grab cough .

Im not 100% sure but isn’t that the second floor? That window might just drop down
10 -
I think that's exactly what it is.
2 -
On the contrary. I can tell that this is one of the top floors. Meaning that you can jump out of it and if you have balanced landing you basically disappear for the killer. For anyone else I guarentee you can gain enough distance on the killer if they vault through it to get back to the window and do it until it gets blocked. Maybe even break chase so it doesn't get blocked which would 100% make it an infinite.
Second, if I DC no one else will be bothered. But I like to voice my opinion here so that if enough like minded people on this issue agree they can actually change it. Thats the whole reason anyone ever complains about anything on the forums. In an effort to have it fixed.
In addition, yes we do need to test it out but considering last map rework we got with that infinite on iron works of mistery its likely this is exactly the same. Its just a god loop with a pre dropped pallet.
Lastly, here is a video on why breakable walls are bad if you don't know why they are so bad. https://youtu.be/JtzQy5UESgc

They showed us photos of macmillans rework. Every breakable wall shown in there was final, even during the PTB.
So more than likely that breakable wall is staying.

i mean as long as they slightly shrink the map or remove some of the many many safe tile loops then it will be fine. ormand is only busted atm because you can get a jungle gym window into pallet into jungle gym window etc. thats not including killer shack, two god pllets that can span in the build etc. along side the weird filter and buggy scratch marks. so trust me this one second floor window isnt the issue, unless they have BL it wont help them much at all

PLEASE at least wait until the actual contend released before complaining!

After zooming in on the photo you can see an orange glow coming from behind it. My guess is it leads to the main room of the main building where the fireplace is.

A vault into a Drop without Balanced Landing should not gain distance compared to a Killer vault into a Drop. The stagger makes up for the slow vaulting time of the Killer.
4 -
That's a second story window. Highly doubt that becomes an infinite.
1 -
well i'll argue that depend if the killer as to vault or not, if the killer as to vault then it can be sort of an infinite (but no it will be a strong loop at best) if he break the wall and can drop directly then it's an unsafe window (unless you BL), anyway the breakable wall stuff is ######### and i hate it but we nee to see what's on the other side before judging. if the killer can drop easely without vaulting it's a one time window (then dude #########) or else the window is strong now how strong we need wait to and see

That's correct. Therefore survivors will have to stagger while the killer is breaking the wall.
And as soon as the wall is broken the killer can just walk right at the survivor with no mindgames to win judging by the other rework picture:
Then again perhaps that dead zone was created for the sake of taking this image. Guess people will just have to wait and see.

That's just the 2nd story window drop that exists currently on Ormond, except now there's also a breakable wall. Most survivors don't run into that area of Ormond's main building as it is now, so it being a little stronger is okay. The main thing that makes Ormond suck is all the pallet loops being safe and connected to each other. Which we have yet to see if it has been changed.
Also Ironwork's also got the same treatment with a breakable door next to a window vault and I don't see people quitting the game over that addition. And Ironwork's is stronger than this new Ormond one since it's not a drop vault.

You know that window on the 2nd floor already exists right? and the killer has to vault it because going around wastes more time, the door literally cuts access from one side like ????. geez...
1 -
"just break the wall first and lose all your early game pressure"
Th-thanks devs.

Its a TWO SECOND ANIMATION. Really?! Survivors are entitled for wanting to bot be tunneled or camped but oh lordy lordy I have to break a wall to break a strong loop and every other loops that arent in main building are the same. I swear I dont understand people complaining about walls they are fine, but should be placed in more strategic ways

just break the wall jesus are you gunna complain if anything not favoring survivors gets put in? you do understand that they are also limiting the survivors escape options too with unbreakable walls right?
also that window is a drop meaning if you break that wall ahead of time when a survivor uses that vault they will be stunned from the drop and the killer will most likely get a hit unless they run balanced landing which is fair.
lastly as someone already pointed out that vault has been there for a long time without a faster way to go around it meaning you had to vault after the survivor, if that door provides a faster way around it actually is better for the killer in that map.

It’s still just concept art. Chill out.

This map will become a gigantic deadzone - I am calling it right now. Bookmark this comment and pay me later. Survivors better use their offerings because you'll soon never want to see the map again.

Well im disapointed by those maps rework i hate them.

IF they do Balance Changes to Ormond as well, this is the most likely scenario. I just hope they also do Balance Changes to Azarovs Resting Place then, because this Map is very killer-sided. But my guess is, if they do Balance Changes, it will only be done to Ormond (and with the next slight Killer Nerf, Devs will be called survivor-biased).

I dont agree with the assumptions but I absolutely love the Scott video suggestion I think it would add a lot to this game

I guess you got early access to playing this map with every killer to know how the window spawns?
Just wait for when the actual ptb drops

Breakable Wall Guy needs to be stopped. The solution is to make balanced structures/tiles, not to keep broken things and then slap a breakable wall on them.
0 -
If you are vaulting through that window and going back around continuously until the window gets blocked for the survivor then that’s your fault. The breakable wall is there for a reason. I think you just like finding things to complain about

that's not concept art thats a map preview
