Annoying/op additions to the game

Oh boy here we go again

This forum will probably seem familiar, since I'm literally talking about what everybody's been writing in the forums for months. This discussion will surely sound, at the start at least, like "oH, tHe fLo0r iS m4d3 oUt oF fLo0r!"

Let's start with the survivor side. One feature that completely breaks the rules of the game is swf. The ability to communicate with your team is just massive, and there's a reason why dbd doesn't have a voice chat. Playing with your friends isn't something bad, but it does break the fairness of the game that way. Let me give you an example:

I just got back into dbd after a small break, and I'm a green rank killer at this moment (I've reached to red ranks before don't worry). I recently bought deathslinger, and after having barely any good perks and add-ons, I decided to play him for the first time. I get matched with a swf team that brought a key and 3 medkits, a haddonfield map offering and another offering which would spawn the hatch in the main building. They smashed the gens incredibly quickly since I didnt have corrupt at that moment and I managed to sacrifice only one player while the rest used the key to escape through hatch. This isn't ok, at all. Which actually brings us to the second op addition: keys.

Keys are, as most of us know, the most unbalanced item so far. It's a free escape for you and your teammates if you're swf or if you're lucky and they follow you to hatch. You can get em on chests which is totally fair. You can't do anything to stop them from escaping through hatch in front of your face, and completely changes the killer's playstile since they'll have to either tunnel the survivor holding the key (which can be picked up by the other survivors) or focus on keeping the gens which isn't that easy.

OoO... Let's not talk about it.

Ds+unbreakable. Ok so this is a tricky one. I like how ds functions, but with unbreakable kinda makes it op/annoying to deal with. Imagine a scenario where you've hooked one person and the other one is downed. You pick them up and hook em whilst the other survivor gets saved. That survivor runs straight to your face and unhooks, they go down and you have one of the two choices: either eat the ds and waste valuable time or leave them and let em escape with unbreakable. This combination of perks rewards running to the killer and doing whatever they want for one minute.

Hatch map offerings: I don't even know why they were added, since keys are still that powerful.

Now on the killer side, obviously Moris, specifically red moris. They're like Pyramid's head executions once you've hooked at least once. Against a casual non-swf group without any coordination, moris become the biggest gamebreaking offering in the game. I'm not going to go into detail on why they're broken, since most of us know, but keep in mind that Huntress with iri head, purple belt and mori does exist. Which brings me to the next op addition: iri head

I'm not going to go into great detail on why it's broken, since it will get reworked, but a good huntress being able to oneshot isn't that fair in my book.

Hex undying+ruin. The new meta that shifts lately, hex undying + ruin make the game so boring to play. Survivors must cleanse 5 totems for ruin to be gone, and if they don't do that the gens will have permanently ruin apply to them. So that means survivors have to spend 70 seconds (or more with thrill) just breaking totems which is absurd. Combine that with surveillance and you'll know every gen the survivors are working on at almost all time, and there are little things they can do about it.

So what's your opinion? Did I forget any or was I wrong with one of the above? Let me know below

Or just bring maps lol. Also if they cleanse the dulls thats one less thing ruin can swap to when they do get it. I had it where i had undying and ruin and undying didnt cleanse but ruin died anyway because they hit the 3 dulls before they cleansed ruin.

Honestly I don't think that RuinDying is too strong. It's relatively healthy imo and has brought totems into the meta again like NOED never could. However, when combined with Tinkerer is when it gets bullshit to me- there will be high mobility killers who can't win a chase, spend years at an l-t wall, but they hear a Tinkerer proc or see someone doing some bones and off they go to stop those filthy genrushers! Obviously the solution here is to just do seperate gens, and in a SWF it works wonders. In solo, significantly less so. And these killers can and will win if you're not coordinated because given infinite time, the killer is guaranteed to win any game of DBD, and that's basically what they're doing here, giving themselves as much time as possible by just abandoning chases to protect the gens and totems. That is boring to deal with, that is bullshit, and that is when the combo becomes too overbearing on any solo team.

Asides from that, I'd agree with your list. :)

About Ruin + undying: do bones. Devs finally made survivors to look for totems. It was their intention from hag release date. Use detective hunch, maps, small game and destroy them totems. After that killer just has 2 perks

For Iri-head it would be nice if it always worked like "One in a chamber" instead of it working with the belt add-ons

This means Iri-head trumps all of huntresses Belt add-ons

Killers being added🤬🤬🤬 don’t understand why they added them. Can’t even do anything now without worrying about someone combing at me

Play him for the 1st time...you get matched against 4 prepared players and yet somehow its not enough that you got 1 sacrifice?

You feel you should 4k with a killer you played for the first time against a co-ordinated team?

Not sure who told you that you have to cleanse all 5 totems to get rid of ruin + undying but that's only if you get very unlucky

If I see another person complain about "UnDyInG + rUiN"

    I'm going to slap a #########.

Because it's not broken, Undying and Ruin was made to go hand and hand, Undying is a defense perk for ruin and other hex perks. That's it's entire point. There's still a 50/50 chance Undying can be taken out first, so stop complaining about Undying and Ruin.

Guess you need to get your slapping hand ready because undying/ruin is extremely broken.

Not complaining about the combo but the amount of rng in this game is absolutely rediculous.

I play solo. I cleanse totems. Had a game where the killer was able to keep pushing people off gens on azarovs. I cleansed 4 glowing totems and never got ruin. I never saw a dull totem to cleanse. It was frustrating but i blame my team not those perks.

As far as ops question, haddonfield is the most bs thing added to this game. Followed by rng keys in chests.

I play solo survivor as well and ruin/undying is 100% destroying the experience. I imagine if you play in a swf you can deal with it better but for solo's it's ridiculous.

It is not. I play Solo, and I can tell you it's not broken. Is it annoying, yes? Is it broken, no? Is it made to be a tad frustrating to go up against if you're not prepared for it, well yeah but that's the point of perks. It's not supposed to be easy, the game isn't supposed to be easy, and it damn well shouldn't be easy for survivors. Nope, it is easy for survivors, it's much harder for the killer. I can say that is a fact because I play both killer and survivor, I don't have anything to really stress over as survivor, but when I play killer I feel like I need to stress over lots of things.

"oH, tHe fLo0r iS m4d3 oUt oF fLo0r!"

But everyone knows the Floor is the most busted thing in the game. I mean, literally every player uses it.
