Honestly I don't really see it being anything else if it is a wendigo ( I personally don't think it is) the name The Wendigo seems a bit on the nose and dead by daylight don't usually like calling things the most obvious name.
The one exception being ghostface however he was originally called the ghost before it was changed on his official Ptb drop.

Thanks for starting this thread, OP.
Lately, BHVR's given next to no hints for the upcoming chapters, and the trailers are so minimalist and/or full of misdirection that getting the name is pretty darn difficult. To the point that I haven't even bothered making these kinds of threads. sigh
Speaking of misdirection, this time the diversions are the heavy Until Dawn vibes from trailer & its description. Don't forget that people also thought the Legion was an Until Dawn chapter until it was fully revealed. But this is clearly an original chapter.
