Deception vs Dance With Me?
Been watching streams and clips of the new chapter, and everything seems excellent.
The only things that’s weird is that I don’t see the advantage/point of using Deception over Dance With Me.
Can someone explain?

I was messing around with it tonight, and it did make one killer look for me in a locker that I wasn't in. You basically flick it open but keep running without scratch marks. Dance With Me you have to spend the time jumping in and out to be used in the same way, but you can also use it over vaults.

I think it's supposed to be the locker counterpart to Red Herring.

Wait, so you don't actually get into the locker?

Nope! It opens the door as you run by. I'm not sure if you full on stop, then you might actually get in. Also you can't get into lockers after using it for a certain amount of time I believe, but I didn't try it.

Ah ok, I get it now. I didn’t understand that the survivor doesn’t actually enter the locker to activate it.
Now I can see how cool it might be actually paired with Dance With Me (for vaults).

Yeah, it fakes the notification and sound and removes your scratches for 3 seconds. It's pretty dope.

That sounds very interesting. I bet I can make a "no scratch marks" build out of this...

Because both? Deception makes it seem like you jumped in a locker, Dance With Me removes scratchmarks after fast vaulting. Both create different behaviours in the killer.

Is it automatic when you run past a locker or do you have to activate it?

Deception feels like more locker shenanigans. Either they fooled you and ran off, are waiting to Head On you, or they've got DS primed.
Lockers are becoming pallets 2.0

You activate it like you would to jump in the locker. If the perk is active you can't jump into a locker while running.
