The spirit effect
Is it just me or do survivors just stop playing the second they see spirit. I play spirit like a M1 killer and without strider so why do people just turn to absolute boosted animals. Edit: forgot to mention I only use her power to get across the mad no mind games no yanking of gens just little old speed boost

Wait, you don't use her power? For what purpose.

Because spirit is easy as hell. You can't do anything but genrush

I absolutely love playing against a Spirt, although I understand why some people dislike her, although not to that extent...

There is a certain irony in a Spirit calling others boosted, though this guy says he doesn't use Stridor so I respect him for that.

Does that mean you’re against Deathslinger aswell?
1 -
I’m just bad with timing I literally only use it to get across the map faster no mind games or nothing just a M1 killer that gets speedy when invisible

Yo can play against deatrhslinger, but a killer you can't see and only need a finger and 100$ headphones to kill you is unbeatable

Can't speak for him but yesn't. That means while I don't play him any more since playing against him a lot, I don't want to stop playing DBD after playing against him a few times like Spirit. Yes, the vast majority of shots by a Deathslinger will be unreactable. But you can still see him coming and take action accordingly. And if you have a LOS breaker you are safe even if only very temporarily.
The problem I, and most others have with Spirit is how the chases are a one-sided dice roll. She has all the info and you have nothing. With Deathslinger your only defense out in the open or in short loops is the Deathslingers lack of skill. With Spirit its anywhere on the map, out in the open or in a tile. And even if they mess up in about 10 seconds they'll have their power back.
I still maintain (and this is coming from an ex-Spirit main) that she is the unhealthiest killer ever added to DBD, and I'm including the current Freddy. And the fact that people are getting tired of facing her altogether should show that. It's not about losing. It's about feeling cheated. It's hard to feel "outplayed" by skill when the other player had all the cards and you had none.

I play against Spirit just fine and is my second favourite killer to face.
1 -
Well, you didn't find a good spirit yet. You can't escape for a 100$ headphones, that's all. The killer can play with the screen off, and if he's goods it'll be 4k.

A lot of people forget that most spirits are bad spirits. It's still frustrating going against them, don't get me wrong, but they tend to make a lot of mistakes you can capitalise on even with Stridor.

In 750 hours? Nah I’ve faced some good ones in that time I’m fairly sure.

I played 3.000 hours, and I can tell you that you can't win against a good spirit with semi good headphones.

I do fine against spirit as well, but it is probably because I have mained her since she came out. You can predict her as much as she can you. Also her power has a long cooldown, learn how to use that against her.
Although, gen rush is definitely your best strategy.

Well then I must be a somewhat great survivor facing her.

Idk in 2k hours apparently I've never faced a good survivor team since I've won and tied the majority of my games 🙃

Its just boring to go against her, and all that i can think when i see an spirit is about the next game, the problem with her is that she is op, boring to go against, and annoying, at least is what i feel when i see an spirit, i dont know why, i just lose the desire of paly that game

Bad Spirit? Free escape
Mediocred/NewSpirit with Stridor? Chances are you're going to die
Good Spirit that doesn't rely on Stridor? Get ready for a very quick boring match.
However I still find a bad Spirit boring to face as they're just going to counter themselves with bad plays, it probably won't even be on my end.

Why bother playing what is usually an auto loss unless I either genrush by holding m1 all game or hope she’s bad
rather just suicide and get into a more enjoyable match like a billy or huntress

I mean,it already feels like 90% of the survivors you go against are really boosted.
And i guess some people are just super tired of playing against a spirit considering how one sided her gameplay is
1 -
Survivors love to call it quits if they perceive the killer you are playing as being unbeatable. I get tired of teammates giving up because they refuse to learn to play against different killers.
2 -
This. The state of the game only gets worse when people decide to DC and ruin games just because of a stigma they have against a killer. It never makes you a better survivor to quit.
