That’s highly unlikely. It’s already been known for many months that there is something to do with the Wes Craven Estate/trustee being a little bit pissy with the rights/licenses to all of his IP.

You would think the license would transfer over to next gen consoles because the platform hasn't changed.

I doubt he's been cut, or it's a bug, I think he'll be implemented at the same time as he's introduced on Switch. Licensing issues and all.

Looks like Quentin & Nightmare are gonna be lacking additional cosmetics for a looooong time.

The contracts were written back before the rights changed hands and likely didn't include newer consoles. The Craven estate it pretty protective and Craven was known for disliking the remake immensely. For all we know they might be turning down cash to (in their eyes) preserve the original character.

Hopefully all this gets resolved soon because people have purchased The Nightmare on Elm Street DLC with actual money but cannot access it on the new consoles.

I apologize if this has already been answered. I just booted up DBD on PS5? Where are Freddy and Quintin? Were they removed? Did the devs mention something in the past few weeks?

They actually said Freddy and Quentin will come to the platforms they are currently absent from!
maybe next gen consoles are included, can’t imagine them making the deal for Switch but forgetting next gen XBox and PS

Quentin is coming as Victor, part of the new Killer. He got his visual update and will be on all platforms as Victor! The resemblance is uncanny.

I figured. But I’m still hoping for them to address this on the forums. The only information I can find on what your saying is second hand, and I’d prefer to hear it from the horses mouth, and recently as opposed to months ago

If it helps the situation, I believe their perks have non-reference counterparts that are in the common perk pool, so you're only missing out on a killer and model.

No they wouldn’t. If you were to go read any of the DLC T&C’s it says the licenses are limited.

Not necessarily. The license agreement could have only stated very specific platforms. Seeing as PS5 and Series S/X didn’t exist at the time, The Wes Craven Estate is in a position to greedily negotiate more money before they’re willing to give permission again.

I guess BHVR should have prepared for this given that progress and purchases from previous gen are carried over to next gen.
