I think it depends on the platform.
A mod already explained that platforms like Discord are very strict in regards of sentence like "kick the baby" (child abuse).
I guess the safest/best way is to just call him victor

I'm still of the notion that you should call him whatever you want to call him.
Ofcourse if you break any rules with that, however silly those rules may be. You have to pay the consequince.
Still kinda silly we have to be politically correct about a fictional character especially seeing how the joke about him is a joke that started in 1997 but if you don't want to offend anyone nowadays you better play it safe

I've just been going with his name, "the brother", or some amusing term for tiny monsters (goblin, gremlin, etc).
Though at times I do wish that he and Charlotte's designs were swapped (where Victor would have been the main body) just so I could make 1984-inspired "Big Brother is watching" jokes.
Might start calling him Quasimodo though, because he's looking pretty half-formed (and Hunchback of Notre Dame was written by Victor Hugo).
