Well, a big point is that payment on an international basis can be difficult to handle.

This application is open for people who want to help, learn and grow. There is a lot of experience that can be collected.
We're sure that it won't suit everyone, but there are many people who are interested and who have already applied - so if the position doesn't interest you that's fine. But there are people who the position does interest!

The offer sounds a bit weird with a long list of requirements, an nda (!!) to sign, a bunch of internal policies to comply to, delayed selection process, probation period (!!!); and then there is a short "volunteer position" where one would expect to see the benefts/compensation part.
I guess there will be quite a bit of candidates applying anyways, though.

Is there a way to ask some more questions about the position and the whole process around it?

I was a Mod once (not here obviously).
It's a super thankless job mostly filled with people whining at you for being unfair or for enforcing rules you have no say or control of.
Respect for anyone willing to deal with that ish
My favorites were the "I'm here to break a rule but I don't like the rule so suck it! If the Mods ban me, it'll just be proof that they're all corrupt!!!!". Always gave me a chuckle before I banned their dumbasses :D

I was also confused about what the incentive was to do that. I would have expected people to get some kind of in-game reward or something if they weren't getting paid.

Even though I'd assume I'm out of the running as I've had a warning before I decided to do it anyway.
It asks for a player id. My xbox account has 3 years of time on it while my pc one is around 5-6 months? Does it matter do you think?

I modded so many forums and chats back in the day, and the NDA thing threw me for a loop. It's like applying to work for the company or intern even, rather than a volunteer position... which is more in line with being a hobby. Still, I suppose some people will enjoy it.

You get a ban hammer charm if that helps?

Maybe you get info on upcoming content that you wouldn't be allowed to talk about?
Which would be kinda weird because your task is only to moderate this forum

This thread accomplished...
...I'm waiting.

Well, that would certainly be a fun perk at least, getting some early scoops. Though yeah, weird.

From a lot of interactions with Mandy I can confirm they definitely seem to know more about the upcoming chapters tuba the general player base.

The position is officially juicier.

Considering the direction the thread is taking with some comments, I'm locking this. This is a great opportunity for a lot of people that have interest. If you're not intersted in it, that's fine, too!
I do want to clarify some confusion as for some people it seems sudden or that it never happened before: This is not the first time Community Moderator applications have been opened. BHVR has done so a few times in the past before.
