What is the point of not being able to switch killer in the lobby?
why can survivors switch to whoever they want but a killer cant anymore? it's really getting on my nerves. survivors are realistically the ones that don't need to switch at all, since they can get items throughout the game and don't have unique abilities like a killer does. i'm sick of waiting forever for a lobby as killer and then being greeted with hoards of red keys & purple flashlights, sweaty neas and davids lined up to start their tea bagging.
"why not just take the challenge?" it's not a challenge. it's annoying. a challenge is a game where every player is at an equal level and is using their own skills to go up against people doing the exact same. i'm a huntress and wraith main and i'm sick of having to leave long awaited lobbies because i don't run NOED or moris that often. i just want to be able to switch to a killer who does well with whatever sweaty survivors wander into my lobby.

It was necessary for the mmr but they removed that and just didnt re-implement changing killer in lobby.

Because a part of the MMR system that they will bring back is killer-specific MMR, which can't function without killer lock.
And from what they've said the MMR system is still gathering data even though it doesn't drive matchmaking at the moment. Wouldn't be able to do that properly if the conditions weren't similar to the intended MMR behavior, which includes killer lock.

Because when the MMR system comes back, each type of Killer is gonna be ranked too.
Meaning if you are really good vs Nurses, you will meet progressively stronger nurses.
That is the reason the system has been locked like that.
