Are we going to get proper UI scaling on the Xbox series X (and PS5?)

The 4k graphics look great, but the tiny icons, progress bars, bloodwebs, etc are annoying. It was like this on the Xbox One X for a short period of time but was later fixed. I could be wrong but I think its this way on the PS5 right now too. Are we stuck with the shrunken interface? When can we get a fix?

Do you have any screen shot. I'm just curious to how it looks. I haven't seen any series x gameplays . And mines don't arrive until next month.

Yes screenshots would be nice. Stores will get Series X in January here so have to wait since I did not pre order.

The overall killer/survivor and in game needs to be shrunk/ further away from the screen and the perks/icons etc need to be bigger. It’s almost like there needs to be an equal/median interface adjustment to fit the screen properly on 1080p/1440p.

The depth of view hasn't changed, only the sizing of the UI. Icons, menus, bloodwebs, etc are all much smaller. The camera distance has remained the same. Does anyone know when a fix is coming for this?

On the most recent Q&A stream, the devs mentioned they are looking at implementing advanced graphics options so here's hoping scaling is on the cards.

You might be on the series s because the depth of view has changed on the series x 100%

Yeah it's terrible, I really hope they fix it. It's way too small.

Definitely on the series X. Upgraded from the X1X which already had a graphics enhancement. Did you upgrade from an og Xbox 1? Perhaps it seems more zoomed in because of the smaller icons/UI? Did you change TVs? Depth of view exactly the same for me, just a shrunken UI. Been playing since launch day on Xbox and I have never seen a change in the depth of view. From watching a number of gameplay videos on youtube it looks like the smaller UI is a problem on Xbox series X and PS5. Series S still looks the same.

Well I play on a 4k monitor on xb1x and everything including the depth of view was perfect all up until around 4.0 when the executioner released along with the new scaling for 4k.. so I had to switch down to 1080p then enough people complained about the depth of view being too close so the devs reverted the depth of view but only on 1440p. And now here we are with the series x and the dov is too close on 1080p and 1440p. I’m telling you the screen is down lower too. I used to be able to see the top of killers heads on the hay stack loops on cold wind and now I can barely see them...

am i crazy or does that look normal?

In my original post I mention the issue they had previously but it was fixed fairly quickly so I never switched down to 1080 on the 1X. I have only had my settings at 4k so I can't comment about field of view at 1080 or 1440 with the series X. With 4k setting on the only difference is the smaller UI. Any other series X players having a depth of view problem on 4k settings?

It's not normal. The UI is much smaller. If you had just switched from Xbox1 to series X or from PS4 to PS5 you would know what we are talking about.

Oh that’s why so you’ve been sticking to 4k. Well did you not notice a fov change since they scaled the ui for 4k settings back in 4.0ish? The fov in 4k since then has been waay to big for me. See before the executioner came out 4k fov/ui was equivalent to 1080p/1440p

I remember this same UI shrinkage happened when 4.2.0 launched on One X. I'm on Series X now, and it looks like the same issue as before.

Hey @MandyTalk please can you let the team know about this? Thank you, Ryuzaki.

Yup, I can confirm this. I play primarily on PS4, but I recently purchased an Xbox series X (didn't manage to pre-order A PS5. Hoping PlayStation and Xbox get cross progression sooner rather than later).

I wanted to see what the game looked like on the next gen consoles, and while it looks and runs great, the UI is so much smaller that it makes it really difficult to hit great skill checks. The new chapter goes live in a few weeks, so hopefully we see an update along with it.

I think it must be an error to some players or an incorrect configuration, I got ps5.

You must not have your screen properly set. I forget exactly where but there is a setting to expand the letterbox so it reaches the actual edge of your display. I bet you have your set to the middle so that's why it appears bigger. I can't verify that right now but that has to be the issue.
