Lol they don't care. They'll just tell you it's your internet, even when it isn't.

a crash can be one of many things, it isn't just their game. it isn't just the internet. if your system makes a corrupted video call or access call the game can crash. if your internet security activates, it could crash the game depending on what's going on. There is so many things. i'm sorry it happened, you will not get any bp from it, but you could show them an issue they didn't know about so it can get patched because of a code interaction between the game and the system so it's great you sent the information in.
@Marigoria you are uninformed about these things. they won't know till the information is sent in, which it was and then solutions can be found. They will not say it's your internet when they know what caused the error that crashed the game. they might not take action because there is nothing they CAN do because it's not the program that caused it but possibly something else. but if you just say you disconnected (not crashed) without information they can't do too much investigation either. and that is not something most people are set up to have captures of.....

As someone who works for tech support in games you are calling me uninformed. 90% of the game crashes I've been getting in DBD have been a faulty game file with their updates. It is not on my end. What is uninformed is every time they blame your internet when it isn't. What's next? turn it off and on? bruh.

If you have an error message, you can post here to figure out what's causing the issue: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues

your faulty game file could have been corrupted via something happening on your computer, steam could have messed something up, lots of reasons. I've looked at the reports that I got from dbd, and then I went and looked at the windows logs and there were problems that caused those crashes so it wasn't the game but my pc causing instabilities with the client files resulting in the crash. Now you are correct, if you are a tech support I could not have known till now. ALSO as someone in TECH SUPPORT you should realize that what the user thinks happens is rarely what actually happens because there are more things going on than just what is seen. Honestly if it's a game file that was corrupted the most likely culprit is your computer not writing to the file properly and the second most likely is steam causing an issue as it updates the game.
you can ALSO submit those reports to behavior for them to look at, as well as there is a ticket option to appeal erronious dc bans now.

Dbd on Xbox one x crashes.
Dbd on PS4 pro overheats on launch models. Fans sound like jet engine during loading screen.
Devs don't care. Devs do care about this game, and care about us as well. But they don't care about optimization on PS4 pro or Xbox one x.
