I'm having trouble picking perks to use in a build. What are your perk build suggestions that you use when you play? (Survivor)

    For Survivor or killer?

Well. kinda depends. As someone who plays Solo Queue, I my build is normally DH, Iron Will, and then DS, Spine Chill, Self-Care, and Bond are perks I cycle through depending on how I'm feeling.

Self care, dead hard, spine chill, 4th perk of choice. My most standart solo survivor build.

SC so that I don't have to rely on my teammates and can trade health states smartly

DH to give me the edge in chases allowing my teammates to do gens

SCH to help me vs stealth killers and improve my stealth

Not the most optimal build but it's one I really enjoy using.

I like Inner Strength, it keeps me on the lookout for totems and if I break one before I get hit then I have a very short heal in the chamber.

I like pairing this with Quick n Quiet and/or Head On.

I also like Kindred. It's one of the best Aura perks in the game. On its own, any time someone gets hooked, you see everyone's location, and the Killer's aura if they are within a certain distance of the hooked player. This means that you can always(except for T1 Myers) know when a Killer has bbq(when they look directly at you or beeline straight for your position) or when they're heading towards someone else and you can make a safe unhook. That alone makes it worth having for me, but a little bonus incentive is when you are hooked, this perk is transferred to everyone, and they have Kindred until you are unhooked.

Personally I keep both of those perks in the bag and swap between a bunch of others. Small game is great for when you're learning typical totem spawns if you have trouble with totem finding and don't want to buy Tapp.

Depends on the situation. You want a serious meta build, do DS, BT, Unbreakable and an Exhaustion perk of your choice. Fun builds, I've got a few favorites:

Autodidact is a great perk against slow heal builds, run it with Empathy+Solidarity to find teammates and quickly heal them and yourself. 4th perk is optional, but I like Spine Chill cause it increases skill check odds.

There's also a locker build I like to run using Inner Strength, Head On, Quick and Quiet, and DS (Though if you want to stick to locker perks, try Dance with Me). I also want to try it with Deception once Binding of Kin hits live servers.

Finally, an anti-slug build. Unbreakable+Soul Guard+Tenacity+Flip Flop. You may want to switch it up with Boil Over, but personally its not as useful. Again, want to try this build with Power Struggle once Ch. 18 hits live.

EDIT: If you're going solo survivor and want to do well, Kindred and Spine Chill are good perks to try.

Depends on what you are looking for. A Build which is effective, or a Meme Build?

If you want an effective Build, my personal choice is:

    • Borrowed Time
    • We're gonna live forever
    • Kindred
    • Dead Hard

Borrowed Time allows you to make aggressive saves and saves in any situation which gives you free Altruism. We're gonna live forever is always nice if you want Bloodpoints to get characters leveled up faster. Kindred is the best solo Perk in the Game and gives you very good information where the Killer is and your Teammates after someone gets hooked, which will help you decide if you need to stay on gens or leave for the unhook.

And Dead Hard is my personal Perk, it helps in chases and allows me to stay injured more than less. This Perk slot can be anything, but I'd recommend an Exhaustion Perk or Decisve Strike.

I love an all info build.

Bond, Open Handed, Visionary, Windows of Opportunity.

    • always easily find teammates
    • know if a chase is coming your way
    • know if a chase isn’t even remotely near you
    • better coordination
    • avoid a 3 gen
    • finding gens on indoor maps is a breeze
    • never run into a pallet dead zone ever again, and can better plan pallets and vaults to link if a chase starts due to the extra 8m of aura reading.
    • Any teammates running aura reading benefit from open handed too, especially Kindred.

Sometimes i’ll swap out open handed for Wake Up. This perk is often criticised but I’ll give my reasons why I use it.

    • sometimes I’ll be in a chase when the last gen pops, or some other chaos has occurred. By the time that’s over I have completely lost track of where the gate notifications where. Wake Up helps me avoid this. Especially at crunch during the last moments of EGC.
    • It’s a life saver if for any reason I’m the last survivor left. Quite often the killer finds the hatch first. Being able to better plan an approach to a switch because I can always see them, and subsequently open one faster helps heaps.
