Is Switch audio quality suppose to be this bad?

I play PC primarily and got the switch version, and I'm shocked at how bad the audio quality is. I could handle low fidelity, but the fact that most sounds have no respect to environment is kinda unacceptable. This game relies on audio cues ffs.

Is this a bug or did the developers intend for a chainsaw to sound the same whether it is in your gut or on the other side of the map?

I play on switch primarily and I didn’t even know the audio was a bug. I thought hearing a chainsaw or someone screaming across the map was intentional. Damn shame The devs are really #########

You *can* normally hear scrams/chainsaws/ect across the map but it at least sounds distant, on pc it sounds appropriately loud for how far away it is.

Switch just has one volume for that #########, and I pray it's a bug

I think that's an overall console bug right now.

I play on PS4 and until recently I swore I heard chainsaws and stuff with the appropriate volume considering distance, but I just had a game where Billy was chasing someone and I heard a faraway chainsaw noise only to see them going right by me right afterwards.

Hope it gets fixed if it is indeed a bug.
