Azarovs sucks for huntress now
Now I could just be aiming wrong I haven't extensively practiced on the map in a custom or anything but a lot of the pallet loops on Auto haven that look like they can be thrown over can't because of an invisible wall that cucks you. I have about a thousand hours on her and I've never had issues throwing over these loops. This combined with the los blockers on that map make it very hard to win against competent survivors. Against bad survivors I'll win on really any map. But I have yet to win against good survivors on Azarovs because they simply hug these pallet loops and the time that it takes to get it out of the way wastes so much time 2-3 gens will pop if I commit. It's just so hard to generate pressure not to mention the fact a lot of the gens are protected from snipes. Is everyone else having a similar experience or am I missing something? If I am I'd like to know so I stop depiping everytime I get that map.

Some hitboxes can be jank because of latency and dedicated servers. But for the most part even when I play survivor I never think a hatchet shouldn't have hit. I did something that made me take a hatchet in the end it was my fault. Survivor hitboxes need to be tweaked then she will be fine

Reworked maps are having a lot of collision issues. It might be a bug that only the huntress and... I guess Death slinger might encounter.

I hope it gets fixed because I don't like the idea of having to be an m1 huntress until I get those 6 pallet loops out of the way. Of course I do hit them when they are away from those and I get downs and hooks but if they are near one of those pallets I'll get looped for 30 seconds before I get a hit

This is why I think huntress needs to be 115 with her addon pass, maps won't revolve around her..she needs tools to deal with it

I've noticed there are a few invisible walls on some of the loops, but there are still many gaps which you can throw over, it's just harder now and takes more skill. There's also that nutty hole in the jungle gym wall which you can throw through as well.

It affects every projectile. Vomit, spear, Victor, all of them.

The autohaven hitboxes are definitely worse, and Huntress' hatchets are currently bugged. It's like she throws them slightly lower now, or they're being thrown from a lower point on her body than from where she actually releases the hatchet. It's weird, but it should be fixed soon (by that I obviously mean in either a month and a half or 3 months from now). I've always thought they should rework huntress' animations anyway, her throwing animation has always looked quite bad.

Yeah hitboxes REALLY need to get looked at, Blight on new ormond is also pain since you just slide off on about 60% of all objects there (like snow piles). Azarov seems to be better in that regard, but even then certain cars and the random stuff strewn around also have screwed up hitboxes.

Guess huntresses can't offer the key for an EZ game now.
I think the hitboxes should be looked into, but I won't shed a tear. It doesn't make her un-useable, it just makes some loops not completely worthless against her. But I do agree that there should be some openings, just not free hits the whole way. Make it, you know, skill reliant.
Still glad they won't dare offer the key anymore, god I really hated it when they did that. As much as I hated old ormond offerings when playing killer.

They should make it so for each hatchet you lose it increases movement speed by 1% so to keep it simple
5 hatchets=110%
4 hatchets=111%
3 hatchets=112%
2 hatchets=113%
1 hatchet=114%
0 hatchets=115%
this would be a great buff to huntress

I was versing a huntress yesterday. Poor, poor huntress was wearing the rain deer skin. I could see her horns over the walls lol. I don't know about the other skins though. But I bet you can see plague very well.
The walls are too short. Oh yeah the invisible walls suck aswell.

I have not played on a single Autohaven map since the release precisely because I knew this was coming. Burned all my Autohaven offerings before the patch, and now I'm burning all of my asylum offerings to keep me from that fresh hell.

If you know of Umbra on a stream of hers she actually explains what happened with the hatchets. Before the patch the hatchets center point was around the middle of the hatchet handle and now the center point is the bottom of the hatchet. I'm pretty sure it affects the hatchets hitbox as I've missed quite alot of window and pallet hits that I feel like I should have gotten.

do we have 100% dev confirmation on this or just speculation from a very knowledgeable source that doesn't have all the information and making postulations (valid ones at that) with the evidence at hand only?

Just speculation but I personally believe it. I miss way more shots after this patch than before, like very simple shots.

I only noticed the animation change; in terms of actual use hatchets feel about the same (except for the short period when server sided hit validation was on).

That would be a great buff indeed. The only thing is, Huntress absolutly does not need a buff.

it's a fair speculation though and was just curious if there was hard data or just personal experience that Umbra was using and I'd accept her saying it more than some others because I know and have seen her play she'd have the experience to see the changes but it'd be nice to have the back up of the devs too

I completely agree. I understand it isn't gonna be fixed right away but 100% knowing if it actually skews the hitbox would be nice till the hotfix.

I'm really happy that I am not crazy and that it is a problem for others too. Because survivors will be survivors and say your bad for something that you couldn't control and now I can at least lose against those teams knowing I played the best I could with the cards I was dealt. Even when I lose I still safety pip most games so I'll take that as my win
