Which trophies did you find/are finding exceptionally annoying?

Which achievements do you regard as headaches?

I have quit Platinum hunting but like to keep complete in regards to trophies on DBD (PS4).

Overall I dislike the prospect of going for new killer adepts, but have them all including The Twins.

Currently I only have two remaining of the entire DBD 'collection': End Of Days (piece of cake) and Rescue Mission (grrr).

Now Rescue Mission is a bit of a smelly fart. I played for about 3 hours yesterday and only managed to get 2/5 of the needed pallet stuns. I've been doing the self-drop approach (as getting the drop on a killer is a rarity) whilst using Power Struggle/Flip Flop/Tenacity/Windows Of Opportunity. Obviously there is a period of time needed where you need to recover from dying for it to be effective.

The problem is, almost every time I fall or crawl in between a pallet, one of the following happens:

-Killer picks me straight up and hooks me.

-Survivor comes over, gets spotted by the killer, runs around the loop then DROPS THE PALLET. That's a real eye-ball roller. Now there is absolutely no pressure on the killer going for a pick up. Total bot move.

-Survivor heals me, regardless that I keep moving and stopping the heal. Obviously they're doing their job and attempting to help...but I feel like the man who eats the hidden chillis and has a fit in Dumb & Dumber, desperately trying to hold off Lloyd giving him mouth-to-mouth. This is my personal favourite.

Anyway...hopefully this will be sorted later.

Which trophies are you finding or found a chore?

I played with friends to get the 5 pallet save trophy, told my friend to die in a pallet or just block them so they go down regardless of them wanting it or not (lol, pls only do that in swf).

So I got it in 2 matches.

Also, I have 100% dbd trophies on PlayStation.

I completed rescue mission with power struggle, just have patience

Adepts are usually the most boring achievements, you can cheese everything else by farming with survivors

I don't think I'll ever be able to get "Evil Incarnate", tbh. And I'd rather hit my testicles with a sledgehammer than try that again.

"Taking One For The Team" Is without a doubt one of the worst achievements I've ever earned, and not just in DBD but gaming in general.

The game requires you to swap up your playstyle? OK I can do that.

You essentially have to throw afew games to make even a slight bit of progress, Erm...all right I'm not proud but so be it afew games wouldn't hurt.

Do this 150 times, OK [BAD WORD] you game.

But in the achievements defence when I did it Protection hits were busted alittle, still I had to throw games(very unsafe hooks) to earn about 2 maybe 4 points a game. Very unfun.

Piggy's achievement where you had to put traps on people's heads I didn't really enjoy either, although that's just because I don't enjoy playing her.

Skilled Huntress no question. 100 24-meter downs is way too much and requires you to not only be really good at Huntress but your opponents to be really bad and you have to do it a lot. Very very dumb trophy. Outside of the new trophies this is the only one I need besides 1000 hatchets which is just time consuming.

Taking One for team. Whoever thought 250 unhook protections hits was fine is straight up insane. I only just got this and I've been playing for 2 years with probably close to 1k hours.

Left for Dead is one that is almost impossible nowadays unless the planets align. I got it only because a Billy decided to let me go the gracious soul.

4-man hatch escape was probably the toughest one just counting the platinum. Got this back before killer could close hatch.

Escaping Disturbed Ward without getting hit is also pretty bad since it basically requires you to hide all game and do nothing.

Killing all 4 surviors via Mori/Devour was also pretty annoying because of the dc's. It's not as bad now with disconnects but with the Mori nerf this one will be a lot harder.

Skilled Huntress is one of three I farmed for. F that.

the other two are Adept Nurse (realized later I actually was able to do it without farming) and the 3 blink grab.

Left for Dead is probably up there now, but I think I got it before the changes that made it so hard.

everything else was manageable for me.

Rescue mission I didn’t really attempt yet, got only 1 done. It will take time I guess but I will get it eventually

I have them all, but the one I found the toughest and took the longest to get was Skilled Huntress. Especially as I am on console and we had to get those hatchet downs a hundred times, as opposed to only twenty on PC.

The Myers-Achievement where you have to Tombstone-Mori everyone. Surv would just jump into lockers to deny you the achievement or dc. Got it during the time, the MM-System was active so I was paired with absolute newbies. And I got entity displeased for getting the achievement.

Doing the Last Gen and leaving through the gate was annoying, too. But had a killer who showed mercy after everyone died except me.

Escaping through the hatch with all 4 survivors is another hard achievement.

Honorable Mention: Every Adept-Killer trophy in red ranks.

I agree Skilled Huntress was an appallingly ill-advised trophy. Admittedly I farmed for it as a buddy killer.

Taking One For The Team was a serious pain the butt and took me ruddy ages. Completely moronic concept.

Wounded Healer was also an unpleasant experience, largely in part to it being glitched on ps4 for most of 2019. Then I would use No Mither to save on killer interaction, but in turn became an easy target which was a burden on my teammates. Shoddy.

The Evil Incarnate trophy seems to be a thorn in the side for many players. I luckily got it on my third attempt. The first time one player d/c and the second they found the hatch. With these issues along with the highly irritating locker technique, I can see how some give up on the achievement out of pure frustration. You really need to get lucky with a team who don't d/c and hide. And that can be tough. Really, Myers needs an update whereabouts the Tombstone add-on gives him the ability to kill survivors straight from the locker. That would solve the issue and also be very cool. Maybe have Myers stab the survivor in the locker, and then slowly admire his work before retrieving his weapon.

Where Did They Go? was and is a terrible trophy. It was my final trophy for the Platinum. I got it pure luck after I brought a key and the killer got caught in the pallet float glitch. You really need a SWF squad with keys, maps and also perks that compliment your quest.

I have a plat on the base game but only due to past versions of the game (and MMR allowing me to farm low level survivors for nurse trophies which I'm not proud of for the record).

Of the remaining achievements they fall into three catagories:

-hatchet trophies (I dislike playing huntress and landing long hatchets on ps4 at red ranks is just painful)

    - left 4 dead trophies. hook hits will arrive one day, though I generally avoid farming in front of the killer, so will take a while. I've no idea how to get the one for escaping the trail via last gen+ gate in the current build of the game.

    - recent killer adepts- specifically ghostface, twins, blight and pyramid head. The killer adepts are so difficult at red ranks (need 4 iri to double pip) and you have to play in such a sweaty way to garuntee the game--almost the only way to manage these is to bully uncoordinated solos with slugging and tunneling.

I reallllly hope the parameters for adapts are revisited--a 4k is a much more appropriate goal given the restrictions.

I think wounded healer is fine now that its fixed- I'd put it in the catagory of passive trophies--it's one you eventually get just by playing the game for long enough.

    Left for Dead

While I wouldn’t say it was annoying, since I appreciated and fully embraced the challenge, it took 9 tries to which everything aligned perfectly for me to successfully execute my plan.

    Adept Nurse

Yeah, that’s the one... that achievement’s a chore

    any Adept challenge.

those are the main reason why i just never went for achievements

True, you can get it by the playing the game in time. But the trophy-hunter itch is that you feel inclined not to heal youself or be healed. The quickest way to obtain the trophy is by using No Mither but that can put you in a compromising position in each match.

I think I just have bad memories from it through wasting long periods of time attempting it without confirmation it was bugged. I kept the avatar as a symbol of hope 😄

By far the best time to go for Adepts is soon after rank reset.

They can be tough, and I remember Nurse (PS4) being particularly tricky.

Here's a confession: The only one in which I didn't do myself was Pyramid Head. I kept getting close but was finding playing him very difficult and frustrating. Someone (a fellow fog-dweller but on PC) asked if they could try, sat down and did it first time! I was shocked 😆

But Adepts can take you by surprise sometimes. You have that good feeling that you're having a decent match and maybe, MAYBE it's going to pop.

To be honest, I sailed through Oni, Deathslinger and even Blight with ease. I thought I was going to have a rough time as I found it hard to get to grips with those killers. The Twins were another easy ride on the adept highway.

However, I wouldn't get in to the habit of going for Adepts...or DBD trophies at all...or even trophies on any game. I quit and feel better for it...until a new DBD chapter emerges.

I have 7 achievements left so far, varying difficulties:

Nurse Power Achievement- Not too hard, I just never play Nurse.

Adept Nurse- Imma have to soft-throw and rank reset my way to rank 20 to get this.

Myers Power Achievement- Same as Nurse, don't play him too often.

Taking One For The Team- Screw this, its not hard per se just tedious. 250 protection hits near an unhooked survivor within 7 seconds of their unhook? I've never focused on this one, just let it happen naturally. After ~950hrs playing the game, I only have 20 hits left.

Left Behind- How the hell am I gonna get this w/o a farming Killer? With the EGC and the way its set up, unless I bring a very specific build and hope that my team is dead by the time I 99 the last gen, its not happening.

    Adept Twins- No. Just no.

Where Did They All Go?- Need to find a SWF for this, not hard unless I'm solo-queueing.

Side note: I got super lucky with some of the harder achievements. Did Evil Incarnate in one go (God smiled on me that day), got Adept Plague in Purple ranks since the team was memeing around, farmed Skilled Huntress and did all other Adepts at Red Ranks, late at night against console players. Nothing against them, but PC has the advantage at the start :p

Honorary mention to adept plague this adept in particular annoyed me more so then others. First you have to play a projectile killer whose arc is awkward and clumsy. Her power can be denied so easily since its too powerful to give freely. Her adept perks are actually good bar dark devotion. Her power also messes with chaser so you really need to play with your food. I can see why i rarely see her in my survivor games.

The other is skilled huntress espicially red ranks are above since your longshots can be easily evaded by competent survivours. Getting 20 down hits is a lot of tiem playjng bunny mom unless your farming it. But that coud be said about all cheevos.

Well, that would kinda solve that, but I hardly think they will ever implement such a change just for the sake of an achievement. I got lucky with "Where did they go", too, and found a killer who wanted to farm. He let me and my 2 friends escape through the hatch, along with the random.

I'm at 100% achievements now, but the worst achievements on my path to 100% were:

    • Taking One For The Team - Just a tedious grind of hook diving with BT so I wouldn't be a total jerk
    • Evil Incarnate - Took me about 20-25 tries before I managed to get this. I would usually get rushed before I could get to tier 3 or locker jerked to prevent me from getting this before I finally managed to get it done.
    • Any Adept Killer - I've always got to be drenched in sweat at red ranks to try and luck into the perfect group of potato survivors that hate doing gens but love rescuing from the hook whenever a new killer comes out to get their adept.
    • Where Did They Go? - Took me spamming keys and trying to get other randos to help me out for a few dozen games, finally got it in a game where the hatch was bugged for me, but I was able to drop my key and another survivor was able to open it and we were able to get out. Achievements that rely on other players to do complex things are always the worst achievements in games. It got to be so bad going for this achievement that I had dreams about getting it done only to wake up sad that I still had to suffer through it.
    • Skilled Huntress - I resorted to camping hooks from a distance with iri hatchets and waiting for the unhook to release my throw to get the down. God help the poor console players that have to get 100 of these.
    • Left For Dead - I got this back in the day when someone disconnecting from a match during it loading didn't cancel the game, so I loaded into a game as the only survivor and the killer took pity on me and let me repair the two gens and leave. Hilariously, I would have gotten this also last night when I finished the last gen just after the killer sacrificed the other remaining survivor. The killer found me at the door, but let me go. So yeah, this achievement usually requires pity on the part of the killer.

I got the 4 man hatch escape in SQ by speaking with the team in chat before the match. One guy equipped the rainbow map with the addon that allows everyone to see and I got the key. After that he showed everyone the location and we all got together and escaped.

People often say rescue mission or Evil Incarnate.

I managed to get both of them in a single game, so just play better guys. By play better I mean get worse opponents.

Hardest one imo, is Left Behind. ######### Left Behind. All my homies hate Left Behind.
