Is pipping harder as solo q than killer?

So I hate playing swf, I don't like having to ask people to play and I dont like relying on a swf so I have good games instead of being at mercy to random people, even if its the smart choice. My main issue is before mmr the matchmaking was fine for me and after I would get potatoes all the time and it got to the Point where everyone just drops dead or I run killers all game for no generators and it really made me question whether its my fault or if im good enough to get to rank 1 anymore. But after reflecting I KNOW I am better than I used to be and I realized solo q survivor is harder than killer to pip. Killers typically juggle 2 survivors so if youre chased first you usually are the first to die if you are like me that is and where bright clothes. Whereas a killer almost guarantees a pip almost every game for me. I do good in chase and know how to prioritize objectives but I never get enough altruism points or survival points. If I lack in objectives I just open doors and chests for extra points. Idk what do you guys think? Also I would like to know builds that can help me out in this aspect of dbd, I either loop too long and lose points or killers dont damage enough people which has been my matches as of late for some reason. I dont think I NEED to be rank one I just like the way it looks :)

It's honestly pretty random. I've run with friends and run alone and it can go either way.

"hard" is the wrong term since it's entirely luck based.

You can get a Legion that stabs everyone a million times and makes the game last forever naturally resulting in 100 pips for everyone

    OR

You can get a full team of potatoes that don't know the difference between DBD and Hello Kitty adventures combined with a slugging 1-hooking instadown killer naturally resulting in a depip or black pip for all even if you get hatch after watching your team die in seconds.

So yeah... I would call it "luck based" rather than "hard" because let's be honest: Playing survivor is mechanically the easiest thing in the world.

Not looping efficiently but im just talking in terms of ranking not the role itself.

Its harder bc with killer its easier to get double pips.

But its not hard to pip with both roles. I play only soloq and i get rank 1 without trying. But when you want easy pips as survivor just do everything. (Gens, rescue, chase) You need only 1 or 2 hook rescues for a good emblem.

The only problem can be a killer who gives you not enough time. When i started playing i had a hard time in purple bc i got farmed and tunneled. DS fixes that.

Killer is easiest to pip with (unless you're rank 1), then solo que, then SWF. You just need to learn the 4 point categories of each role and try to get as many points by doing actions as you can. For one, simply using your ability as killer gets you deviousness points.

The whole game is mechanically easy that also icludes killers.

I really don't have difficultly pipping on either side right now. I think the only major difference is that I feel like I have more control as a killer than I do as a survivor. I have to fight the 3 other survivors to get the unhooks, heals etc, which is what makes the difference for me.

I'm solo and I pip without any problems, but with killer? I'm stuck in yellow ranks lmao. Would be good if the matchmaking didn't bring red rank swfs to me every game.

do most of a generator and get chased for a decent amount of time, do a whole generator and tap another or twoa little and get chased at all and heal another player once or unhook one on top of those two and you're almost guaranteed to not depip

You ever black pip or even depip for ending the game too fast as killer? As long as that doesn't happen killer is generally speaking, in my opinion, easier to pip with.

I hate the pip system with a burning passion.

No I just never can get saves or heals. My teammates either just always beat me to it or im injured all game

Yeah im Injured all game usually so thats probably why I can't fight for points as work because I need to be cautious but im also usually on a gen far away so I never get my time

Its much easier to pip as killer than solo survivor in my opinion.

piping as solo isn't random or hard at all.

    escaping is.

you can at least get a safe pip even if your team get 4 killed if you are not the trolling one.

thats whats doing it in your case it sounds like, Ive had those kind of matches before and gotten close to pip but still barely depipped from not having an unhook or healing somebody
