Tinkerer, ruin, undying, bbq freddy

I just had a match against this. How do I counter it? Or do you need to be a 4 man swf with the most skilled survivors that have ever played? I guess you could get incredibly lucky and win too.

Split up on gens. Even with tinker and his teleport, he can only effectively pressure 1 gen at a time.

So if people not being chased are working on gens separately Freddy will be forced to give up gens if he wants to down someone.

Magically do all totems in the first minute of the trial. If you're a scrub like me and can't pull off a miracle, then stack 2 to a gen and hope for the best (spreading out gives a better chance for the killer to interrupt both gens and have them regress below the 70% mark again). When the killer comes to harass you they have 2 options: camp the generator and let the other two do gens, or chase one of you off while the other finishes.

Split on gens and wait on altruism

if the killer chases 1 survivor for around 30 seconds it is around enough time for all 3 survivors to pop a gen considering animation times, carrying and going after other survivors 3 gens would be at 50 seconds of progress or 62.5%, use the last 30 seconds to finish the gen with the 2 survivors he cant go after because pressure is split, get the gens done and you can average about 2 gens per 2 hooks this way

wait on altruism for around 30 seconds

being overly altruistic against this build loses gen progress

It's just that every time he hooked someone he would just teleport to my gen. Every time he got tinkerer he would just teleport to my gen and If I ran off by the time I got back it was almost zero. Then again I was unsure what my teammates were doing other than going down immediately. (Not that I faired much better) What he was doing felt so mindless and was ridiculously effective to the point no gens got done. I very rarely bring strong items like bnp on survivor and I feel like I shouldnt have to if I want to succeed. It probably doesnt help I'm on ps4 where I feel like I'm fighting the framerate harder than the killer.

Too very easy, clean totems and Freddy will be weak

Shouldn't be too hard as he's not running pop. If he ran pop, than that sucks.

Play stealthy so all the gen progression you got will just be erased thanks to ruin. Split on maps like coal tower where a killer can patrol 5 gens in less than 10 seconds.

Or play swf till they soon QoL him

Gen Protector Freddy is a truly menacing figure.

With the ability to teleport to generators via Tinkerer and Pop them, coupled with Ruindying, it may seem hopeless to try and fight.

The trick is to take your time, and handle things one step at a time.

Freddy can only pressure one Survivor, so your primary task will be to take out Ruin ASAP. Cleanse the Totems as often as you can.

If Freddy sees you working gens, he WILL come for you. While he is diverted, others should take the opportunity to get their own gens done.

Another tip: If Freddy is going for a teleport, DO NOT RUN. Instead, quickly and quietly get behind something and sneak away. The longer you can bait him, the more work your friends can get done.

It requires a bit of coordination, but it IS possible to beat a Freddy who does this.

The dude sent himself to Midwich and tried playing forever Freddy in 2020 when those add-ons do almost nothing anymore. Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer/BBQ Freddy is way stronger than that. Also no BBQ means you're guessing what gens are currently being worked on after you hook someone, so pop isn't all that useful unless you scour the entire map and remember where everyone is (which, on Midwich, you're definitely not gonna be doing that). That's not a good build at all

If the killer is good then you need 4 smart survivors. I'm not saying amazing loopers or amazing 4 man swf teams. Just smart players who know what they're doing.

As long as everyone is injured he automatically had 28% regression to gens. That’s 22.4 seconds longer for a gen to be completed.

Keep in mind this is NOT counting any Dying Light stacks in the process.

You can’t win against a good pay to win Freddy with these perks. Just go on and good luck next match

This nearly applies to every killer. You shouldn't be unhooking a survivor immediately until the killer is on another survivor or close to second state (facecamp bubba excluded) should you unhook remember your ABPG's always be pressuring gen's. Spread out is the golden rule of survivors.

to be fair, if I do see survivors doing this I usually end up getting 2 on hook then go instantly for the slug 4k if they haven't saved yet or force the person on hook into second stage

it isn't full proof but its a good baseline strategy

So you have to hope the Freddy is not good at spreading pressure and go immersed until he gives up or you find the totems. Big RIP

THIS!! Too many people and I mean WAY TOO MANY stack up on the map.

If 3 people are on a gen and the killer comes over they now have pressure on 3 survivors instead of one. That’s also 3 survivors that the killer knows are not on gens.

Split pressure is the key to winning/escaping.

A big issue is that once someone has to go for the save there are only 2 gens max being worked. Which likely means a gen had to be given up to ruin and that happens constantly. That's not even counting the likely unsafe save that then puts 2 survivors at immediate risk.

Find his totems and break them, then enjoy going against a 2 perk Freddy.
