Y'all ready for 500 iridescent shards?
This is truly a blessed week! BHVR is generous enough to give us 500 shards and 10,000 blood points! WOW!
But in all seriousness what in the absolute [BAD WORD] is this? The only good part of this week is the 200,000 BP we get for christmas.
They told us this event would be smaller than normal. But holy jesus they really skimped out on the effort for this one. How ironic that in a season of giving BVHR would give so little.

I can’t believe they stuck with 10k for almost the entirety of the event, even after people have continuously complained about it being stingy. Lol.

"here are 10.000 BP, enjoy the two items you can get from your Bloodweb with them! :D"
really helps fighting the grind...
10 -
Don't you know? They have to protect the "fragile" bloodpoint economy.

bUt THe EcoNoMY!¡!¡!

How did that ever even become an excuse for BHVR?

I haven't figured out what to do with shards at this point and I have many 50 characters fully leveled already. Seems like most survivors/killers can't be bought with them. You can buy perks, I guess?

Or you can grind out nearly 100 hours for a single cosmetic.

I have to admit I expected a little more for Christmas.
Maybe even some auric cells or something like that.
4 -
They've never given those out for free, it would have been a pleasant surprise. But expecting even a minimum amount of effort or generosity from BHVR is basically asking to be disappointed.
6 -
Hrm. Well I guess I'm the odd man out, because anything I get free seems like something I wasn't going to get before, and worth showing gratitude. We all (me included) want more for Xmas; that is human nature. But wanting and expecting should be two different things.

I was laughing at the 10,000 a day BP. That was for five days, right? So literally the equivalent of one killer game? lmao. But yeah, they don't have to do anything, so I'll take it. It's just kinda funny when you think about it for more than a split second.

Just give us a double BP week starting at christmas or 1 day after christmas to celebrate that and the end of this awful year.
BHVR is it really that hard?
Come on

It would have been a nice gesture after well the Halloween "event" and chapter 18.

There was a blood hunt in the last winter event in 2018.
Seems like they didn't have much trouble enabling it when the community was raging about the eternal blight.

This is mostly the way I feel. I hear (and agree with) the arguments that the BP and iridescent shard economy is just bad, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth this month.

I too miss christmas events, I miss great events like the bbq event but I guess that is just a memory of the past.

Remember the days when BHVR could pull off 3 decent events within 2 months of each other?
For as bad as the balance was during that time I sure do miss 2018.

This feels like Genshin Impact levels of stinginess, honestly.
I can kinda understand them being careful about the shards but at least give us that douple BP week. They wouldn't lose out on any money and would show that they care about us and want us to have a good time.

Me too, back then they were like "we know this is unbalanced and blah blah but here guys we made these awesome events that you can grind and have fun!!!" Now it's like " bruh no events unless we get a lot of hate on twitter from the community but we are going to give 10k daily since that is a really big amount of bp!!".
They were really great at making events, except the first blight event which only consisted of people harvesting and killing themselves in game.

I still don't understand why they can't just give us the cosmetics as login rewards.
My best guess is they want to make some extra money if people miss out and want to buy the cosmetics.

The thing is though is that BP is the most basic, and low effort, thing they can give us. Add to that, they are giving us basically none of it.
If they had, instead, gave us a Blood Hunt/2x BP for these two weeks we would have made many, many more than what they are giving us. And those would have been free since we are doubling what we normally earn. Hell, they could have made it one day and we would have made more.
2 -
You could have one match with all party streamers. and still make more than what they're giving us for the entire month.

Look, I don't want to trigger you or get into an argument about this. We just look at it very differently. Me, I say... "hey free stuff.... cool beans... thanks." I mean, they aren't blood relatives or even close friends. They aren't required to give me jack squat. Oddly enough, they have given me more than some friends and blood relatives when I think about it. I think everyone who starts feeling the urge to chime in on what they didn't get, or what they should have gotten... should watch this first:

lmao you don't want to "trigger me".
I was explaining to you why people are disappointed and have issues with this "event".
We got more out of every other winter event we've had so many of us were expecting something better. 🤷

Let me put it to you this way.
Imagine you wake up on Christmas day excited. Your family had been hyping this day up for about a week.
Past christmas days were very lucrative for you. Your parents would give you $100 and some toys.
Then you open your present, only to find a dime. Your parents say that you'll get a dime for every day left in the month. After all that you're left to wonder, "what can I actually get with a dime?"

They should make these events rewards scale with player devotion levels, so every player will have a decent reward based on how much they're into the game.
For example, the base value of the bloodpoints is 10.000, and then it would scale based on the devotion level of the player.
If I have devotion 9, my BPs could be scaled with this number, like a simple multiplication 9 x 10.000. It's not that much yet, but it's a nice idea to implement.

I think we underestimated how much smaller this event would be. I guess the next time BHVR says it'll be smaller, then it'll be miniscule.
Also the Frosty Eyes should be given out to everyone, like with all the other Killers. I think it's BS that Deathslinger and Twins have their Frosty Eyes locked behind a limited time code. Did the devs just run out of ideas and threw the Frosty Eyes in there? Why not a past Christmas cosmetic?

I would have been happy if there was an advanced notice way ahead of time that the community skins would cost shards, as opposed to us finding out like 2 days before the release. I wouldn't have been spending shards on BP every week to the point I can't afford the Feng Demon Slayer skin, had I known.

The problem I have is that it feels like someone sat down and determined the lowest amount of Bloodpoints they could offer that would get people who aren't currently playing to log in just to get the points. Anything less than 10k and I imagine a lot of people wouldn't bother even starting up the game. So, they offer 10k and get boosted player numbers (you don't have the play a single match to count towards the number of players for that day), and you could say it's a win-win but... it feels kinda uncool towards their playerbase to offer the lowest amount they could get away with. (Whether or not this was intentional, I couldn't say. But that is definitely the end result.)
Hell, there have been days I was like, "Oh, I should log in to get the BP... eh, I don't feel like it. No loss." I didn't forget, I just didn't think 10k was worth booting up the game for. So, really, lowest amount they could get away with is still a little too low. Should've started low and kept upping the numbers weekly so players wouldn't get to the point where they just shrug it off.
I also don't understand why the Frosty Eyes cosmetics are locked behind codes this year. All the previous ones were given out for free with no gatekeeping. What's going to happen with these Frosty Eyes in the future? Are the others going to continue to be given out for free but new ones will all be in the store or something?
