Look I'm not here to complain, I just want to know how this hits and why the devs wont fix it already. You're gonna tell me the game is survivor sided but you can abuse this? Inb4 all the "its your wifi" look at the top left there was no wifi circle.
I just tried to come back to playing survivor and this bot freddy outplays me I guess. I still escape which was nice but they need to focus on punishing killers who have bad connection.
Edit: the bad servers arent a big reason its not survivor sided, it's more of an icing on the cake of already having the population of survivors be very bad. When I say this I'm just saying in public matches losing as killer is very hard if you are good. Yet people still complain about pub survivors using DS and UB like it's the end of the world.

No I will definetly assume the killer had had connection especially when hes swinging and hitting air at the start. Pub games are more killer favored. Only comp is survivor sided. Also huntress gets bad hits anyways one uhit taken away isnt gonna stop the million undeserving ones shes given lol.

Yep, this is what happened all the time before dedicated servers which was expected to improve this.

Can we not chalk this up to "######### happens"? I'm an entry level, and I mean very basic entry level coding/IT student and even machines make mistakes. Not to say that things like this aren't frustrating, I can certainly empathize there. Sometimes your perception and the server's don't sync up, and yeah that sucks.

You waited way too long, if you the killer gets into the doorway, and you aren't already vaulting over, you are gonna get hit.

Im not invalidating your example. Don't get me wrong your hit shouldnt be taken away. I've even seen hits exactly hoe you described. Thst being said 2-3 missed hits isnt stopping huntress hitboxes you're gonna get 8 more bs hits I can't really sympathize with you.
The freddy was most likely a bot ps4 player so I can understand why he was so behind the server his bad internet. It's kind funny to ngl.

Ok so number 1. I dont play heather shown by my level 1 and 2 perks so that build is all I had. Number 2 you're so bias that you can't even objectively watch the clip and say "yeah that didn't hit". Finally I main killer the consistency of hits like these is what encouraged my switch.

You clearly do not know how to run shack. Its called shift tech. If you are patient and the killer has good ping you dont get hit. I was through the window as well so dont justify this bs.

I mean console players in general arent very good so I guess thats what I mean. Dont get me wrong pc players are bad too but console players astound me.

I'll have to take you word on it. I didn't jump into DbD until fall of '19, though I did jump in headlong. So personally, I can't attest to how things were before, but I can emphasize having been on both sides of this or similar scenarios. It does indeed suck.

Things before were p2p so killer had constant 0 ping. This was because they hosted the lobby. You cod see if they had terrible ping and could see theirs. However they changed that and havent fixed vaults kr any types of hits since then.

Reasons this happened:
- Freddy's lunge animation is not accurate to his actual hitbox, so his lunge is extended farther than it looks, but it's still a normal 115% lunge
- Latency. You two are 100% in completely different parts of the world, so latency is gonna be a massive issue
- Dedicated Servers just ######### suck
- You're on console, and from what I know about DBD on console, framerate and latency are MASSIVE issues compared to PC

1) Show us killer's ping. Easy.
2) Hide survivors names and profiles
3) Hit validation doesn't work. I believe it's not there anyways, never existed.
I have 40-45 ping. Can't believe that all killers have better internet than me. Impossible. They created the illusion called "hit validation".

- Yeah it is technically coincidence, but coincidently most freddies I verse tend to have weaker than average connection.

- The devs came out and said the hits are handled on the killers screen meaning no matter where you are if the killer hits you it connects. Hit validation was supposed to correct this and cancel bad hits but we see how that happened.
- I'm just waiting for my 1650 to arrive at my house and I am golden.

I do main killer tho lol just because I defend survivors doesn't make me a survivor main. I guess @GoodBoyKaru mains survivor. I never said they lag switch but the clip suggests he had high ping. I also am switching to pc my 1650 gpu has to arrive at my house. By the way you talk you seem to be an elitist of some sort. I still think I can do better at killer than you despite being limited by bad console preformance.

The devs did say that, and then they released hit validation, as you also said. It's entirely dependant on connection now.

- This is a very simple solution I can dodge all bad ping killers. The devs know this though so I am guessing they don't want bad ping killers to be excluded.
- This could work for killers who mori specific survivors.
- It doesn't the devs could care less about fixing hits for survivors lol. A mod I will not name tried to justify a hit and say the killer had better connection. They know who they are :)

It still handles on the killers screen..... except the server is supposed to check it, but it does not and there are multiple clips showcasing that mine included.

Oh give it a rest. If it was all about what the killer saw, you'd never see cucked grabs on the killer side. It's not a survivor specific issue.

1. Occasionally not all the time. If I got bad hits occasionally I wouldnt be making this post lol.
2. I play killer because it happens too often once again.
3. Uh no that's not hie that works. Grabs were coded for p2p and those and deadhard are being recoded to work for dedicated servers. They still favor killer hard just vpn and enjoy an easy win and easy hits.
4. Yeah its pretty lit gonna be a sweat killer on PC especially blight.

Yeah I was in the middle of my break and I came back to vent, I was frustrated. There is nothing wrong with that. I left again took my break and now I'm here, so what are you getting at?
At heart I am a survivor main I'll admit. But in reality I can't stomach much survivor. The role has gotten stale. I said I was 4king ay rank 1 with corrupt and that's the truth. Honestly if you think I'm not good at killer do you want to see my video versing angrypug?
I also want to point out I havent even reached my peak yet because I'm on console and now I'm switching to pc where my potential is going to show. Also dont deliberately tell lies.
I never suggested killers needed I nerf my main points were killer is easy in pubs. Comp is a different story because that's where the game is genuinely hard for killer. I dont think the role in general needs nerfs. Maybe a select few but once again never mentioned in my post. I just said killer was easy.
It's sad that you seem to care so much about a person you dont know and try to what be on a moral high ground? Which is fine but dont try and tell lies. One last thing I am running alot more ruin undying and comp builds to work on my killer. I genuinely want to improve and be better at the role. Whether you like it or not I main killer.

Had nothing to do which side.
I've been playing killer against survivors for a certain region which are known for terrible connection.
I could literally hug them and the hit didn't count.
When i looked at their connection I understood the problem.
While I had a ping of around 30, lowest ping on their end was high 200.
Even 1 of them went up to almost 800.
So it isn't killer sided/favoured, it is hit validation not working as they said it was.
The same old problem still exists, before hit validation, if you had a bad connection no matter what side you're on, you had a advantage.
Now with the hit validation it should be taken care of this problem, yet the same issue remains, bad connection is giving you advantage.
Sure there will always be latency issues, but i don't agree that the person with a good connection should be punished instead of the terrible connection.

I am still amazed that this things happen to you so regular, while a lot of player have that problem only rarly, all while you have the best internet connection there is.

I don't think DBD is survivor sided, as a killer main speaking. The thing is there's the perks and tools survivor's just use to annoy you as a killer which can be very punishing in chase's.Then you have people who solely play a killer upon release in the most toxic fashion which is good in away because we find out what's broken.Then after the killer has been nerfed the survivor's exploit those changes in their favor.
Okay example Pyramid Head now with the change of his ability to "zone for free" survivor's can now when, I go into Roj jump across the pallet jump back across run directly pass me and gain at least 6 feet on you.Thats 17 seconds of the killer time wasted when, I could have just down or at least injured him by now.
If something's need to be fixed then fix it, but sometimes they need to realize some changes aren't helping anyone.How does one improve their skills if their not even willing to adapt.These people are legitimately thinking of their selves if they think they deserve free escape's off of getting a certain mechanic change so they can stand a better chance.
I've never seen a killer changed to a weaker version upon release pussy ass #########

This, actually. They've done a lot of work to improve killers' playability. I wasn't around back in those dark days, but one of my friends was. He used to be able to go through an entire map with Jake Park and take down every hook.
