Please Cease the Last-Second Swaps.

As the title mentions, I've gotten real sick and tired of Survivors swapping to some stupid thing like Keys or BNP Toolboxes or whatever. If you're gonna bring stupid stuff, bring it up front, or you'll find that your match ain't gonna even get to load in.

And I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Killers can no longer last-second swap to counter you, show us the same courtesy, please.

I mean, swapping into something outright silly like that, fine.

But if you swap from a Baby Dweet into Toxic Nea with a Key, I am noping out of there harder than anyone who has played Mario Sunshine's infamous Chuckster Level.

Exit the game entirely before the timer runs out, let them go back to their queues if they want to troll

Killers shouldn't be able to see names and what survivors bring into the game - especially after they nerf keys.

Last second switching is just something used to circumvent a bad lobby mechanic implemented by BHVR.

  • Honestly when I see a key I just assume they REALLY need that escape for some dumb reason and play the game like normal and pretty relaxed and just eat the loss if it happens. It doesn't bother me; I think they are OP and all that too, but I don't stress about it. Heck, if you are not acting toxic, and I have a chance, I might just give you the hatch without having to even use your key idc.

However yeah, if you swap to a key at the LAST second I assume you are a troll; and I either say screw it and just drop, or I play it but I go FULL SWEAT. No rules, nothing is off the table, and I play my hardest to make sure that you and everyone on the same platform as you in that game dies (I assume them together).

For the record, I'm not saying don't bring Keys or Toolboxes or whatever, I'm saying cut it out with the swapping at the last second.

There is literally no reason to do it anymore, now that Killers can't switch like that and Moris are no longer an issue for Survivors.

Be polite and courteous to the Killers who have to deal with your shenanigans from the onset, please.

  • I mean most the people doing that don't care about the killer/person on the other end. If someone is doing it for bad reasons, asking them not to be bad unfortunately will not have any effect.

I imagine having to sit through another like 10 min survivor queue will though lol.

The reason is that the killer can't change his load-out fast enough to something like franklins or sloppy butcher.

I know that much. I'm just saying, all these Survivors gotta stop being so self-centered that they have to use the lobby as a crutch for their shenanigans.

It is kinda stupid, killers still have 6 seconds to alt f4, and even if they are to slow they can leave during the loading time with zero penalty.

You're just asking to load back into the lobby

    I agree to a point...

while yes it's a bad machinic to have in a game like this... but saying that swapping last second is the counter that is just as bad

And I'd say that the match should start when a match is made skipping the lobby screen all together and going the offerings screen

    Would you agree to that?

Thry just need to lock everything in once the player hits the 'Find match' button. Not ready? Don't queue up, problem solved.

Yeah I generally have no issue if a survivor brings a key. I’ll play the match like normal. The thing that ticks me off are those that last second switch to a key. Those are the survivors I will gladly tunnel without a second thought.

If you get locked when queuing as a killer, same should be for survivors, the last second swap its just antifun and unsportsmanlike

The killer leaving has never added more than 20 or seconds to any lobby I've been in. Not that I advocate swapping like this but you aren't really costing them any time.

Agreed, last second survivor swaps is pretty much uncounterable as you have no time to alter your load out, for example, by bringing franklins to get rid of the key/toolbox.

Personally, I'll either DC on the loading screen, or if I see a key, tunnel the absolute ######### out of that specific survivor, or if I feel extra mean, slug them until they die from bleeding out and I'll stand on top of them to counter any UB/altruism.

Yeah, it's a nasty move to do, but the survivor showed me no courtesy, they ain't getting any.

The main issue has always been players being dodged for using items.

You can really blame people for abusing the system when its both ssides that do it and to be fair it never used to happen until the lobby dodging started.

Its a problem created by the userbase.

This is why many of us have said that survivors should be locked in before the Killer to enable them to switch up perks for certain items which would also need a lobby penalty for a killer leaving after they are locked in.

I might be in the minority but I’m usually not even looking at the lobby screen while queuing up. I’ll be watching YouTube or getting a drink.

I guess this doesn’t bother me cuz I never really care to look. Only thing I check sometimes is if they’re friends, only because then like say I’m playing trapper i have to change my strat as far as how/when to set up traps, that’s it.

They should just do away with the pre-game lobby altogether, it'd save on some of the time it takes to get a game going. Once you "Ready" up, it means you're ready to play and once a match is found, it should go straight from there to showing Offerings, to loading screen, and then you're in the trial.
