Curious about a change to Hope
Hey all,
I was playing around with a few random perks and decided to try out Hope again.
As I noticed the timer still goes down even if you are incapacitated (slugged or hooked) and it reminded me of perks like Lucky Break where the timer stops when it isn't actively being used.
I was curious to see what other people would think if Hope underwent the same change? Obviously this does increase the strength of the perk, and there are many other perks that don't follow this rule either. But whether or not this would be an enjoyed change?

I guess it's not gonna happen because you technically are still using the haste effect right?
I mean... crawling 7% faster is laughable but it's happening... wow you're going places bud, zooming around.

That is a good points haha I guess it is really only looking at while being hooked then. I dont think it is something they will ever change. It was more just something that I noticed.

True I completely forgot about being hooked haha. That's a valid point then; also I didn't know the timer stopped for other perks.

One of my gripes with the perk as well. Just have it pause while on the ground or hooked. Good change.

It depends on the perk really. Lucky break doesnt stop the blood from appearing whether you are crawling, or on hook and the timer stopped. It has the same duration of 120 and only depletes if you are in the injured state.
I am sure there are other perks that don't follow this. Probably more towards the older perks.

Hope just shouldn’t expire once the gates are powered. Period.

This, nerf the speed a bit but make it a permanent perk once it triggers
