Don't let survivors tell you how to play the game. Do what you want.

A degree or slugging, camping or tunneling is required to have a chance against equally skilled good survivors.

Most killers default to slugging as it isn't as scummy as the other two options while also having plenty of counter play. When people complain about a killer slugging it just shows that they clearly don't play much killer. Telling the killer not to slug is the equivalent of telling him to just lose the game.

A killer simply does not have enough time in a match against good survivors to take turns one hooking each of them one at a time taking turns between them. It's just a fact.

Emphasis on the good survivors. None of this applies against average survivors.

Yeah, there is the meme Hag/Trapper tactic as well. Completely makes it impossible to DS; and negates most meta survivor perks entirely.

Much to the ire of usually very very angry survivors.

Nothings wrong with slugging tbh. It sucks, but survivors, have ways to work around it like unbreakable. For the killer slugging to avoid ds is one THE BEST thing you can do. It forces 2 survivors off objectives for roughly 30-60 seconds depending on your actions. Maybe 3 if you decide to chase someone else. The only problem is that it doesn't guarantee any benefits for the killer. Unbreakable is 28 seconds If I recall and ofc someone can pick them up and heal you before it even deactivates.

Sometimes, if it's super early and I know for a fact that it's a weak survivor (bad at loops) then I'll eat the ds.

Slugging the 3rd survivor so you can catch the 4th one is okay too. It's like the last 3 survivors ganging up to save the final one during the EGC to get the most BP and ofc the best ending for the respective side.

I personally wouldn't recommend slugging everyone though, you don't get much bloodpoints, but do what you think is best.

Slugging to avoid DS is bad if it's still early game. You want to get DS out of play as quickly as possible otherwise you could end up being DS'd at a crucial moment like when the gates are open.
