Proposing a secondary power for the twins
Hi, I've spent a lot of time playing the Twins since their release and it's become clear that they're quite strong in certain aspects, particularly Victor. However, the issue is that Victor being all of the power makes it hard to balance the twins because you either end up in a situation where they're too weak or too strong because everything's tied to Victor so I want to propose a secondary power for Charlotte that way there's some more varied gameplay between her, victor and survivors. By looking at their trailer, lore and addons, the Twins are scavengers who hoard whatever they find and are extremely protective of it and I want to introduce something that reflects that theme.
What I propose is that when playing as the twins, instead of chests spawning in the map they're replaced by "trash piles". Trash piles are functionally identical to chests except with a key difference and that difference is that they come with their own loot table. Items dug up from trash piles will always be considerably lower in quality (brown by default), coin offerings and hoarder will also work like normal and spawn in more trash piles. Trash piles can also be searched by Charlotte to pick little mini items that can be used to sabotage generators for survivors, booby-trap hooks, reinforce totems, items that apply status effects to charlotte's basic attacks, etc. While controlling Victor, you can also make him hide in the trash piles for a short while and he'll automatically ambush survivors when they interact with them. I think there's more that could be worked out but this would add more flavour when play as/against the twins since right now it's a little binary with the best way to play is to them to slug a lot and that way you can reel in Victor's strength a little and add more to the secondary power without hurting the killer overall too much.
It's a lot of work to make this change work and probably something more closer to a rework than anything else but I just wanted to get the idea out there and see what you guys think and if you got any ideas that might improve on it.
