Keys are 100% Fair (In a Single player Style Game)

To be honest if I was one of the devs working on this game if I knew reworking keys would be a hassle I would have just announced both Mori's and Keys are getting changed then just implement them at the same time (Still no ETA for Key change btw) as let's face it both pretty much reward the exact same level of bad play.

The topic I see a lot is "Noed and Mori rewards Killers for playing badly" you'd have to be completely biased to disagree that Keys do the exact same thing, it rewards you as a Survivor for not finishing your main basic objective.

Perfect example this match of why Keys are absolute bs. Iridescent Gatekeeper, Iridescent Chaser but Silver (near Gold) for both Devout and Malicious but i have to draw game because of an item they spent 7k BP on or even found it during the match.

The Key in this game I see it as more a PvE Single Player type of mechanic where for example you get absolutely bricked on by a Boss but the game goes "Look you can either:

A. Try against the Boss again.

B. Simply ignore the Boss part and just skip onto the next area and still gives you the rewards anyway.

Having this sort of mechanic an AI won't feel robbed whereas an actual player would because you have essentially taken away what could have been their win for playing better.

Imagine playing Football, you score 3 other team score 0. The ref calls the whistle to end the match but then goes and disregards your win and sets penalty shootout.

Also for those checking my build I'd honestly highly recommend giving it a go, it might seem gimmicky i don't know how or why but for some reason it is surprisingly good, has 0 meta involvement also

I feel like even after the key rework, whatever they may be changing about them, like if they do add an animation time to unlocking and limit one person to escaping through it, or making it spawn differently, none of it will be enough for killers.

Idk I feel like killers are always going to be unhappy about the possibility of one survivor being able to escape with a key through a closed hatch. Like it's "robbed them of everything"

Like yeah maybe it robbed you of a 4k but that survivor probably wanted to survive and not be robbed themselves lol this can go both ways sigh

Bottom line, I'm hoping keys get reworked accordingly so they're more about use as aura reading tools and less about hatch escapes since that just bothers killers so much when even a single survivor gets a clutch escape as the last one alive with it.

Barring (or even including) total removal from the game, I get the feeling there's still going to be quite the uproar over the inevitable key change.

Personally for me, being robbed of 1 kill feels better than being robbed of 2 or 3. I have no problems with keys existing it's just the fact that you can

    A. You can find a key in a match (although rarely the one you want it still occurs)

    B. You can take multiple people through the hatch

It feels like you're robbed a bunch more. I feel like there should be more of a risk to bringing a key. Sure there will be killers still complaining because both sides have those people who nonstop whine and complain about EVERYTHING wrong with the other side. I personally feel like when they introduced the hatch offerings they buffed keys and that upsets me. It felt unnecessary.
