Leaving Spectating

Hi, I enjoy spectating my friends and when I was spectating, it automatically put me in the ending menu then asked me to put Y to continue and when I did it put me back to the original menu with no option to continue to spectate, so now I am spending my time here complaining because I cannot spectate. There should be an option to rejoin spectating for both spectators and dead survivors who accidentally continue as the game really highlights leaving without spectating.
