3.0 seconds pickup animation, any valid reason why that is a thing?

as the title says, I don't understand the change to the pickup animation that made it 3.0 seconds long rather than 4.3 like it used to be. Since I know that the flashlight has been mentioned as a reason to this change, please let me tell you that they couldn't take a worse decision.

If what high rank killer mains are currently concerned about is gen-rush, then nerfing more and more any feature that is not repairing generators will (not surprisingly) just encourage more survivors to sit on gens rather than giving a try to some different features of the game. It's just a step towards making the game more boring for the survivors as they have less chances and more rushy (thus stressful) for the killer.

I know that I'm speaking like the flashlights were completely removed, but in the end the nerf that they received made them possibly useful only against a killer that is either bad or distracted, and this is not enough to make it worth it to bring one in a game at this point.

They already had a really safe counter which consisted of looking to a wall, or if the slug survivor was in an open field and you knew about a flashlight you could try to bait the survivor and then smack him and wait to pick the slug up, now instead you can just look at the flashlight guy, turn your back and pick the survivor up, and it's done, safely and countered even easier than you used to do before (baiting the survivors was already lame, as the lack of the survivor's contribute to the generators to try to flashlight save should be rewarded with something consistent rather than just a smack to the survivor and the killer just having no worry about the saves).

I don't understand what people have against the flashlights to be honest, there's even lots of killers that use it as a pretext to hardly tunnel, but what's even so good about them?

Pulling off a flashlight save requires the knowledge of the timing, and the flashlights (specially the purple ones) are way too rare currently (just like they still allowed you to instablind, but that's long gone). I really don't get why you would nerf them again, that's just a choice that I couldn't disagree more with.

Oh and I still haven't mentioned that the killer can still drop the survivor down quickly after the pick up animation is over to get blinded but not get stunned so that the survivor remains in the dying state, a thing that I'd personally call exploit that is being kept in the game and seemingly the devs are even ok with it.

I don't get why you'd make crap of such a good game...
