Why does so many people want Chucky to be in the game?
I think Chucky would just become a meme and something you laugh at rather than being scary. And what would Chucky's power even be?

Chucky is one of the iconic horror slashers. He is not the biggest name out there but he is still there and can get easily recognized.
getting laughed at instead of being scary is not an argument against the inclusion of any killer, why should that happen to Chucky but not any other licensed killer? We don’t even know which power he would get and as far as I remember the movies didn’t take themselves as serious.

I’m not sure why some people really want chucky. I don’t ever see it happening and I would much rather just have Xenomorph or Jason. Way more iconic and terrifying, and not to mention sizable.

Perhaps this in DBD for the appearance of Victor, before he came out the chances of seeing him were nil, the power he would have is very complicated, maybe he uses Good Guys dolls or Damballa's amulet as his power but who knows.

Chucky is my all time favorite horror icon. His movies are gory and always a good time. His laugh (classic, not remade) is the best. I know for sure we'd never get his original voice but he's my number one killer to join the game.
So to answer your question, I want him for the same reason everyone wanted all the licensed characters so far, because he is the best. And "the best" is all just a matter of opinion.
Now that victor is here maybe its a possibility.

I missed the second part, his power.
Regarding his power, classic chucky was a stealth killer, hiding under beds and the like, I think his power could be as simple as some sort of hybrid of what Victor already is. No red stain and some sort of sound instead of a terror radius. Not sure about his speed or attack as too much speed would make his too strong due to his sneak and too little would make him to slow to chase as I wouldn't imagine he'd lunge like Victor.
The balance there would be tricky.

Because Chucky could be fun killer. Charles Lee Ray escaped into a Chucky doll thanks to black magic so could incorporate that into his powers as a stealth killer.

Because he is horror movies icon. He can be very unique and different from other killers, he also has actuall power you can work with. Honestly I'm hoping he will be the next licensed killer.

Also this may sound silly and illogical but there are reasons to want it in DBD.
1. The Twins dlc was released for the simple fact of securing the Child's Play dlc or simply doing a test whether or not the implementation of Chucky was successful due to its size or if it could be accompanied.
2. As before in the past Hillbilly was the inspiration for Leatherface it also came true, Trapper was based on Jason, Legion was possibly based on Ghostface, Wraith possibly on Freddy, Pinhead, Jeepers Creepers, no wonder Twins was based on Chucky to have it in the future.
3. Now with the implementation of Victor many theorize that Chucky will use his same jumping mechanic since what Victor does is a reference to the Child's Play movies
4. This year in July the Chucky series will be released, so it may be a good opportunity and a good time to implement it sooner or later. because I don't see it possible on a 5th anniversary.

I think what is more likely is that victor gets some kind of.....doll skin that is a parody of Chucky at some point; and Charlotte has some other thematically matching costume.
Jason REALLY should be in this game, we have all the other iconic ones; but odds are that won't happen for licensing reasons.

That's a rude way to put it; but I disagree regardless.
They did something similar already so it's not unlikely for them to do something like that again....though given victor's nature is the only reason why I think it might not happen. Either way, I highly doubt chucky will ever be in the game.

Umm i have to disagree, it would be the first time they did original character similar to the licensed, and they still made it to the game with not much problems, but that's your opinion.

Twins basically stole the ideal power for Chucky - switching to a fast moving small character that pounces onto survivors backs. I think making Chucky a standalone killer would be a bit derivative of them and difficult to set apart, not to mention the countless problems with animation and general gameplay with such a small killer performing normal killer actions like hooking and pallet breaking and vaulting. Hell, even lunging. It's like the whole Billy and Leatherface problem, except there's only so many ways you can do fast moving small man that pounces onto people's backs.
Chucky's best bet is a legendary skin for the Twins; have human Tiffany with a hairpin/knife or something as Charlotte and Chucky as Victor. Although Victor doesn't change with cosmetics, it is a legendary skin so some leeway might be made for a licensed property. That's the best way to implement him in my opinion; better than some phoned-in paragraph where he teleports to Good Guy doll boxes around the map or something.
The only problem would be Victor's shrieks sounding weird with Chucky, but the stock Good Guy doll catchphrases could be used (the ones that the doll says when you pull the string). When on a survivor's back he could start violently swearing. Maybe that last part is wishful thinking but it would be golden.

Obviously I know it sounds silly and illogical and mediocre but I have another reason why Jason can get implemented and it is NOT because of his demand ...
1. In July 2020 they released a Friday the 13th Board Game and NECA action figures of Jason part 7, which is why the product of the board game does not include the contents mentioned by the script of the first movie from 1980, so it is possible to see Jason's license as long as it does not contain the contents of the script of the first film of Friday the 13th, perhaps if it arrives they will be based on the jason of part 6 or 7 with Tommy Jarvis and Tina Shepard As survivors, I say Tina Shepard because she is Jason's 2nd nemesis and which may come in handy in her lore knowing that she lost her powers upon entering the entity's kingdom. If they release a trailer on a Friday the 13th, Friday the 13th, that is, Friday the 13th Confirmed.
(I know it sounds silly but it's good to think positive even if things turn out bad xD)

I hope this first semester ends, but the problem now is that we do not have updated information from our man Larry Zerner, the last time he published an update on the trial was when the trailer for the Twins came out, saying that they are still on trial. If it ends soon, I guess the developers set Jason as Priority, also Blumhouse, I saw these photos of an article that Blumhouse made a concept of what Jason would look like in the style of Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills.

As for the power. The twins are literally a perfect example Chucky could work.
With a bit of creativity it really wouldn't be hard to implent him
