Why doesn’t DBD have doors?
I think DBD should have doors that are complete line of sight blockers that swing open when a Killer or Survivor interacts with them.
I could see them working really well on indoor maps so you can have long stretches of walls with no visibility but instead of being the great wall of china they have doors that can be flung open.
It could also be added on jungle gym tiles on open maps to give stealth killers better opportunities to sneak up on Survivors because they couldn’t see through some of the doorways

Stealth killers are already cucked when it comes to stealthing around the map because there is a perk that hard counters stealth, even through undetectable.
Doors would be kind of neat, but there's already too much going on with the horrible placement of breakable walls.

Why not replace breakable walls with these?
Imagine how creepy the creaking of a wooden door could be lol or metal screeching of a metal one!
Also it would fix the issues of reworked maps like Azarov's Gas Heaven which has that room with two breakable walls in it so it's literally a death trap when you're working on the generator in there- why would a killer ever break those walls?
Now if they were doors- or even just one was a door the Survivor could run out it and the killer would know but now it's not a literal death trap.
I've noticed breakable walls are either: completely bad for the killer; they break those immediately so it isn't a timebl waster in chase later OR it's a death trap for survivors and the killer will never break those walls if they know what's good for em.
I genuinely just hate breakable walls I think they were a poor addition but hey what do I know.

What's the point of doors? Another time waster for killers and another slight blocker?

Doors in video games are actually surprisingly complex to implement in terms of game design. A designer I know who worked on several Splinter Cell games said, "in every new Splinter Cell, the big ######### is always how to handle doors." It's even worse when every moving entity in your game is a player as in DbD; Splinter Cell at least could push unseen AI characters around if they needed to. :)

Would be funny tho if they have head on and stun the killer with a door breaking it in the process tho
But yes doors are a b

I'd love instead of breakable walls for there to be doors survivors and killers could open/close and if killer wanted to remove it entirely they could break it.
