Waiting for the person to get to you before you let go
Waiting for your teammate to get to the hook before you let go in their face. I've seen this done by streamers, a fog whisperer I will not name because he/she didn't approve of the team play so sandbagging like this is acceptable behavior for a fog whisperer? Isn't this worse than DC because you are outright hindering play? Devs basically telling the player's this is acceptable when it is repeatedly done by fog whisperers and it is clearly spreading with how much more of it happening for no other reason than the luls

A while ago someone posted that a mod or dev (I'm not sure which) encouraged toxic behavior on a stream of a fog whisperer (that person misteriously disappeared).
So yes, even tho I'm afraid of get banned for whatever reason, fog whisperers are allowed to do scummy things

"for no other reason than the luls"
That's enough reason to keep doing it.
Chill, it's just a game.

'luls' at the cost of another player's experience? By this logic, people who cheat in video games and have fun are allowed to do so just because 'it's a game'. If there are rules, they should apply for everyone else regardless of who they are.

But doing that isn't cheating. There's the difference.

So we're supposed to care about other people's player experience now?

Depends on what kind of person you are. I am a social person, and i see the folks on the other side as my fellow gamers.
But there are lots of antisocial gamers as well, who have a different view. You decide what or who you are.

They don't have to stay in any game longer than they want to, if it's a total ######### show in the match they may just be getting a few struggle points before calling it quits , if none of my teammates can provide even a 15 second chase I'm out of there I don't care who gets mad I'm not gonna play a game where holding W to a safety zone is too hard for some people to grasp

I do that to teammates who are allergic to gens and only know how to insta save. Or when they're crouching in a corner of the map for no reason whatsoever.

I’ve had this done to me and I really didn’t care. It’s not against the rules, it’s just kind of rude but there’s tons of stuff that’s kind of rude that isn’t and shouldn’t be punishable.
Like, if this is “unacceptable behaviour for a streamer” where do you draw the line? If they refuse to let someone heal them or refuse to heal should that be disallowed? Or if they beat a teammate to a chest and take the item even if their teammate really wants it? Some people consider flashlight blinding a killer at a pallet rude, is that off the table for streamers now too?
As long as they’re not promoting actual toxicity like insults and harassment, cheats, witch hunting, and so on, just leave them to it. Don’t watch them if this is behaviour you disapprove of. But it’s not for the devs to police every slightly negative interaction a Fog Whisperer has in the game, as long as they’re abiding by the rules.

some people accidentally mess up the struggle as others arrive, or were simply left too long that by they time they get there, the person has died.
its not always trying to hinder other peoples play, if anything, the struggle mechanic is the thing hindering it
as for the fog whisperer, that's obviously not good, but it isn't explicitly toxic, at the end of the day there's always another trial on the other side for everyone involved

I think I've done that exactly twice in this game (on purpose, every other time it was the janky-ass framerate this game gets sometimes because BHVR still insists that a game mechanic where you need to press a button once every second but has framerate hits every so often that makes the game not realize you're pressing a button is a winning combination).
Both times it was for the same exact reason. Three survivors crouch hiding all around the map (not even at least doing gens or totems, just crouching and unless the killer can be in three places at once, only one of these people could have a potential excuse of the killer being by them) while I'm sitting there on my first hook only to FINALLY get the balls to come save me once I'm halfway through my 2nd hook.
Is it incredibly spiteful and petty to specifically wait for the survivor to come grab you before you let yourself go like that? Yup! Would I do it again in the same situation? Insert "I'll F'in do it again" Goofy.jpg here
