First Day Trapper! Any Tips?
First of all, I have only played around 10 matches as killer and 7 of those are Myers, 2 are cannibal and 1 is hillbilly. I am a survivor main so thats why. I feel Trapper would better suit my playstyle even though he is one of the worst killers in the game I embrace the challenge :)
Also, the outfit im showing you is a pretty neat outfit combo and you dont need to be OG to have it. I've only played DBD for a month and a half now, and I have all 3 of these.
Mask - Chuckles
Body - Neptune's Failure
Weapon - Marked Bolo Machete
I think its nice because the body looks incredible and the mask matches and shows a large bit of his face which imo is really cool. Rate my outfit out of 10 :)

Cool stuff!
Playing Trapper well has a considerable skill ceiling. No other Killer requires as much time management, prediction and luck as he does.
You will lose, a lot, when you start playing Trapper and encounter good Survivors. It takes a while to get a grasp on which traps work where/when/how. In my opinion, your success as Trapper is also significantly influenced depending on where you spawn vs where the Survivors spawn, this will play a major role in how (and how much) you can set up.
There are great builds and guides by Otzdarva, I think when it comes to teaching the way of the trap there´s no one better to learn from than him, check out his YT.
Just bear in mind what Trapper is arguably the weakest Killer so set your expectations accordingly.

I don't really have much, but I highly recommend watching OtzDarva. He's a very good Trapper main.

Yeah watch Otz if you want some really good tips.
Don't spread your traps out too much. Pick a good spot on the map and set up around it. Try to chase survivors there.
if you spread out too far, not only will it be difficult to collect disarmed traps later, but you will likely not get to a trapped survivor in time.

The most important Perk on Trapper is Corrupt Intervention. If you dont have it, you should try to get it as soon as possible, either by leveling Plague or by getting it from the Shrine, when it is in it. Corrupt Intervention is a great Slowdown Perk and allows you to do your Setup as Trapper.
In general, when I play Trapper, I usually prefer to do the Setup before doing Chases. If some Survivor is nearby, I might smack them, but it does not really help if you go for your first Chase without setting up any Traps at the start. So for me, usually the 2 minutes of Corrupt Intervention are Setup and I rarely get a Hook during that time.
Also, and this is some form of mindset you need to have when playing Trapper - dont be upset when Gens get done. You are busy doing Setup, meaning you are not directly pressuring the Survivors at this point, so they will do Gens. But even if 2 or even 3 Gens are completed early, you can still win this game, because now you have your Setup (in general, you can win at this point with any Killer, but it can happen with Trapper that you did nothing but setting up Traps until this point).
When it comes to Trap Placements, you should really watch some Youtube-Videos. Like at Shack it is better to set the Trap in the general Looping area and not at the Window instead, because this is just a Spot where every Survivor looks for a Trap once they know the Killer is Trapper.
Regarding Add Ons-->You ALWAYS want to have a Bag at all Time. Trapper only has one Trap by default, so increasing this number is important. Regarding other Add Ons, Tar Bottles are great, they make your Traps darker. Also Setting Speed is kinda neat.

I like to put traps in the places that you'd least expect them - there's nothing like the feeling when someone steps in a sneaky trap you've put and you know they're thinking "who puts a trap there".
Trapping the safe places like windows/pallets etc seems to be pretty common but I tend not to do that, cos survivors expect them so check and disarm traps etc. It's in the places where they don't expect that I get more luck with my traps, and knowing in a chase how to direct them to running that way. A lot of playing Trapper is about map knowledge.

Don't step in your own traps.
