Sorry, but there are many players that find killer a frustrating experience, especially during peak periods when there are a lot of red rank bully squads. Although these types of survivors are the minority, it still unfortunately heavily influences the killer culture/community.
I personally can play well against most of these teams, but itās rarely very fun.
So depending on my mental state, Iāll sometimes just play solo survivor during those times, regardless of how long the queues are.

Introducing a bp bonus for the role that's in short supply would help correct some of this garbage. I literally dropped dbd because 10 min queues made me realize screw this I'll just play something else.

Seriously. Or even just giving expected queue times on the main menu as a nudge for people who don't care that much to play the side with fewer players.

But if I understood the difficulties and intricacies of playing Killer, I would no longer feel the constant urge to complain about them needing endless nerfs on the forums. Oh, and not to mention actually possibly playing them at higher ranks where the Survivor teams I'm up against wouldn't be total potatoes 99% of the time. Then I might understand that constantly defending an unhealthy meta is actually a terrible thing to do, and I might also have the epiphany that a healthy Killer meta is absolutely required for the game because without it I would have nobody to bully with my swf squad.
Fine, have it your way. I'll Basement Bubba once every 5 matches.

My second game or so as a killer I had a red rank survivor loop me until I gave up on them. Then I got harassed in the post-game menu by 2 of the survivors

There is no moral obligation to play either side regardless of wait times. It's just pretty annoying to see people complain on the forum that times are long then refuse to do anything about.
Don't wanna play killer? That's perfectly fine, just don't complain when your wait times are long. Either help fix it or deal with it. I can respect people who put up with it, can't for people that refuse to help fix the problem they are mad about. Not that my respect means jackshit.

This is basically the early days League of Legends Support conversation all over again. Support isn't allowed to be strong>Also Consistently gets verbally abused>No one plays it>Community gravitates towards "Someone should be forced to play it".

Geez I have the exact opposite issue. Survivor times are a breeze for me. And killer times take me 10 minutes. Wish I had short killer times I find it funner to play killer.

I'll happily play more killer when survivors learn to take their wins with some more grace and don't make me wait 4 minutes while they observe the architecture of an exit gate before they decide they've seen enough.

I was a killer main but I pretty much haven't played for 10 months. This game is going to have to do something really impressive to get me to come back. Until then, I won't be helping your que times.

Anyways, that's exactly what I do. It's healthy to have other games to play or simply go do something more productive irl.
This game gets too toxic sometimes and I just unplug when I encounter toxicity instead of partaking in it or keeping the cycle alive. It's not like this game is dying any time soon so it's OK if people go play other games. If the team wants to be lazy because they know they can that's fine since there's only one DBD and no other alternatives just remember that.

Killer is an awful experience most of the time.
it was ok for at least very good nurse players to demolish even swfĀ“s. But nurse got taken away literally (you deal with stressful survivors + stressful gameplay) while swf was untouched to this day.
now there are no tools left for killers to properly encounter swfĀ“s anymore. If you find nurse enjoyable, good for you. But most donĀ“t.

I try my best to play killer as much as possible, but it's difficult when I'm 90% of the time being paired against red rank bully squads (SWF or not, the moment they are better than someone they take time away from doing gens all at once to BM for ten minutes, basically taking the game hostage at that point, and I'm too stubborn to DC)

You help out your survivor friends, providing more matches, you can also learn exactly what camping and tunneling is, and why and when it may be beneficial.

Personally, I think that should apply to both sides. If everyone played both sides, maybe we could work out better balance solutions.

How about a token system. If you want to play in a SWF, you have to play a killer game to earn a token (or tokens), then use a token to get into a group with your friend. AFK/DC games don't count for/against the system. People that play both sides shouldn't have an issue with this and for those that absolutely do not like playing killer-- their friend can spot them. It would need some tweaking so people couldn't abuse it of course.
I'm all for people playing both sides, and I think those players should be rewarded for doing so. Those tokens could even apply for solo-queue and also be redeemed for xxxxx if BHVR wanted to do something cool.

My brother stopped playing DbD with me when because of survivor que times. I agree this needs to stop. With no friends left, I am the only person who likes to even talk about the game, always getting rejected if I try to bring it up. These days im 100% killer main. My advice?
Punish the survivors. Be the dirtiest, most rage-inducing perk buildiest, sweatiest killer you can be. Survivors deserve no mercy. Maybe when the dev's favorite side of the audience starts to quit, they'll finally do something about it.
Or we Killers could go on strike? I dunno.

i mostly play killer,
so since the last rank reset i played about 15-25 games and i won 90% of them i guess , im 1st rank at this moment.
In those games where i lost survs tbaged me so this makes me angry because it creates impression that if im losing im 100% going to be tbaged and mocked.

I think a good portion of the playerbase gets their kicks out of tilting the other side into playing dirty, so I don't think it'd be as effective a tactic as one might expect. You said your brother quit because of long queue times, so it sounds like the best way to get survivors to quit playing the game is for killers to go on strike.
I'm one of those people who always plays the role with the shorter queue time (which is usually but not always killer), and I've been taking a break for a while, now.

No, sorry, I am not morally obligated to play killer. I loved playing killer when I first started playing the game but because the devs cater to red rank swf bully squads, I kept getting matched against them over and over due to their broken matchmaking and lack of killers. I have switched to solo survivor with a sprinkling of killer (1-2 matches a week) for the foreseeable future until the developers show the same amount of concern for killer players enjoyment as they do survivor players. As things are now, it is evident they care more survivors, which is understandable since they're the money makers, just unfortunate.
Please note, I am not saying they don't care about killer players, I am just saying they don't care enough, otherwise they would have never released the trash known as The Twins nor would they have nerfed moris before keys. Yes, moris needed the nerf, but there was no need to rush it out, but they did, and now I see 1 key in every other lobby. I don't think killers enjoy having to purchase Bubba in order to get rid of the key with Franklins nor would most enjoy tunneling the key holder over and over in match after match.

Well, i play 100% of my games solo, so i am only morally obliged to play against solos. Give me that option, i will reconsider playing killer again.
But i am not playing against swf without a way to keep up, thats why i got back to survivor only after the mori nerf.

It's just more frustrating to play killer for a lot of players. I like to play both sides equally, and survivor tends to be the better experience with the occasional awesome killer matches.
